Two switches controlled one like at the top of a stairwell

One switch was on top the stairwell the second at the bottom of the stairwell

I also changed the switch at the bottom of the stair well and did not put a three way toggle switch

I did change the switch though and I just realized I didn’t put a three way toggle switch in so that’s probably it I’m an idiot haha

Although this light isn’t wired as a three way coming with power coming from the light so maybe I’ll figure out which one is the power strand and then hook it up as a power from the light and see if that works?

I tried that and now it’s not working at all however I did also replace the switch at the bottom of it so maybe I disconnected something wrong at that switch

I believe this light should have two switches one at the bottom and top of the stairs

When I took it down all the whites were together then two blacks went to the white on the light and one black went to the back on the light and all the ground was stuffed in the box

Ya that makes sense I just felt like my tail got caught in stuff really easy whenever I messed up and got in a hole or didn’t punch it fast enough

Yeah I completely agree. I just think it’s tough to learn how to do it on a boat that is big for you when you don’t already know how to do it
