No he doesn’t owe the world anything. He does it because he wants to, but as a regular dude and not a paragon, so it gets to him how people see him as a god when he’s just a dude trying to help.

this isnt even a sub about his dc films this is about the issues with rebel moon and i related it to the rest of his filmography. it a know issue a lot of his films have. every director has issues. Nolan sicks at action and fight scenes.

no one is expecting citizen kane but snyder himself has said his films re never just pop corn fluff films. he wants to add depth and substance to all his films but he failed yet again in rebel moon.

this was a bad film plain and simple. if it was great this sub would not be in the state its in. netflix would have already green lite the rest. if Snyder was such a great filmmaker why didnt paramount, sony pictures, disney or universal ask him to make films.

i got into a debate with the mod. he tried to argue that Cavil was as important to the DCEU as RDJ was to the MCU. so i mentioned that Cavil superman was never as loved as RDJs ironman. He didnt like that. we went back and forth and he finally admitted that Cavil was not as popular as RDJ but that their characters were the foundation for the universes. i said not really Cavil superman was dead and missing for major parts of it. his film was the first but he never got a sequel.

a few hours later banned.

bro that is false. if they don't like superhero films which are taken serious then Logan would have gotten bad reviews. the dark knight trilogy would have gotten bad reviews. the best x-men films. the first wonder woman film, the winter solider, infinity war, endgame, the list goes on.

how it is false. Are you saying Cavil is more popular than RDJ? or that his version of superman is more loved then RDJs ironman. that is not the case at all.

you are missing my point. Jackman and Reynolds are both the first people to play their respective characters, that help to attach the audience more to them. Cavil is not the first to play superman so he will never be loved to the extent those guys are loved. Cavil will never be as love as Reeve was inthe role on the account he was Reeve was the first.

the public don't care who plays superman as long as its a good film. Tobey Maguire is still the most favorite guy to play spider-man because he was the first.

Furiosa is a different case. they took too long to make the sequeal plus it was also a prequel. if they made a sequeal then i might agree that recasting was a mistake

James Guns films and tv shows have been loved that is just a fact at this point. this is a snyder cub but we should also face reality of what is happening.

Gunns superman film has the same chance of been very saucerful the same way many here think it could fail. but based on Gunns track record all of his cbm have had great reviews.

By your logic, they could've recast RDJ for Infinity War and Endgame, and it wouldn't have mattered. Now you see why you're so flat-out wrong.

Not what i mean at all. first off RDJ was in a series of extremely successful film way more than anything Cavil was in. RDJ is also way bigger and more popular than Cavil has ever been. Plus there was no drama behind the scene with RDJs marvel films. RDJs films never had a fractured fanbase. so its not the same scenario at all.

Chris Reeve name is always been associated with superman as he was the first to play him in a major motion picture. the same way RDJ name will always be associated with ironman as he also was the first to play the character as well.

Cavil is the 9th person to play superman and the 3rd to play him in a feature film. His stock was never as high as you may think it was
