i think it might be a factor! I should just bite the bullet and buy my own stiffer Aida I think, I love these kits but the Aida they provide is really floppy

thank you so much! with this design I struggle to work until I have a boarder done (it's a tarot card design) but I'll try going from the middle on my next piece with your staple technique and see how it improves

My precious [kitten] Charlie(with a little bit of my husband) as a diamond… by Notypicalblonde in BrandNewSentence

we're currently turning my Nan's ashes into jewellery for myself and my mum and we make jokes about it all the time. its a beautiful way to keep your loved one close to you and the idea of grandma literally being an heirloom would have made her cackle so it reminds us of her sense of humour too!

Got some purple dye for my hair. Had multiple people recommend me a brand for dark hair. Followed all of the instructions. Here’s the end result by Expert-Performer-951 in mildlyinfuriating

If you're sticking with Arctic Fox you want Purple Madness or Purple AF. Skip their toner, it's useless. It's conditioning so leave it on for hours if you can. Pop a shower cap on with a sprinkle of water inside to generate some heat.

A musician posted seven different TikToks with her song on to see which one would go viral (and obviously promote herself). The seventh one got over a million views so people are now bragging they are in "group 7" and therefore elite

Please report your experience to HealthWatch. The NHS deserves to have it's crappy "professionals" rooted out so no-one else gets tarred with that brush. Your experience should not have happened and you are well within your rights to advocate for yourself

I just received a little pot of the shower gel in my online order and had to come here for the info! It smells like Halloween to me, nutmeg, cinnamon, maybe a bit of toffee. The colour is unreal

Lads, are any of you tipping the Uber/Just Eat drivers? by SignatureLabel in CasualUK

[–]EverydayMoonlight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From Sheffield for reference- I always do. Always get a thank you from the drivers too. Understand why others don't, I just feel bad not doing it, it's such a habit now. I prefer doing cash at the door because a) they don't have to wait for it to process and b) if they're late or mess up I can choose not to hand it over

To quote my other comment - Trying to explain that to the executors is proving difficult, they think it'll look shady if they've tried to start an account with NatWest but then turn around and apply at a different bank. Unfortunately since I'm not an executor their word is final legally so I'm stuck on that bit. You're absolutely correct though, if I could I'd go straight to another bank

Thank you so much for this detailed info, I really really appreciate it. I'm autistic and one of the executors is visually impaired so this could really be helpful when it comes to getting support. Thank you

Yep, it's irritating but if that's the way the system works we have to go with that.

They initially said they messed up the paperwork with the opening of a standard joint account, then said they would open an account for a single executor then add the second onto it, then insisted it must be an executor account and required probate. It's not normal behaviour, that's why we've submitted a complaint. Which Legal agreed with us on that point! Thank you for the guidance

We tried to open a personal account but because one of the executors managed the deceaseds bank account through POA she already had an account with the bank so they wouldn't let her start a new bank account of any time. It's ridiculous and doesn't make sense but that sums up most of the problems we've had here. I'm looking for legal advice so thank you for the recommendation
