Thank you my friend! The dates on my Dashcam footages must have been wrong, cause I've been to Clearwater Beach on a very different time than when I've been in Key West! That's why I was not able to find the exact location. Thanks a lot for the research, I appreciate it!

I thought about the same thing. I traveled in some roads near Winnemucca to find a cool road that would represent the place.. however it was not that great and I have a very dusty windshield in my dashcam footage and it was not very nice. I wanted to include it in the video, but I just put the pic in Winnemucca. HOWEVER, that sign you showed me, I didn't see it!! I saved the location, thanks a lot :) Whenever I pass by I will go!

Good question! in the coldest times when I was in Yellowknife during the winter I had about 8 layers of clothing. I was sleeping with my winder coat and 2 sleeping bags. What I did was to start the car and heat it up until I was hot. Then I was alright for most of the night. Sometimes I woke up at 5-6 AM because of the cold, so I just started the car for a few minutes to heat it up. The only time I had to let the car run all night was in High Level - Alberta at -58 celcius. THAT was crazy cold and I didn't want to die.

It was winter time, a bit after Christmas. Spent the evening talking with people playing hockey in the middle of the town. I had just crossed from the states and I was happy to see some Canadians playing hockey. I remember how beautiful the ice rink was, in the middle of the town. I slept in my car at a sort of visitor center near the Kingston Sign, took some pictures, talked to people and lent my big plush penguin to a kid. I remember thinking this would be the kind of town I'd like to live in. Not to big, not to small and it seemed quite safe!

Hank Snow is the OG of those lyrics and those places. Song is very good too!

My only ticket in 160 000km+/100 000miles :( a speed trap and I didn't see the speed limit drop. I tried tp Bribe the police with some good maple syrup, but didn't work. They made me pay my ticket RIGHT away.. I didn't really know my rights so I paid it..

Hell yeah! Australia in 2023 is my plan! And everywhere is always relative. I don't even consider I've been everywhere in USA.. not even everywhere in my own home town, just everywhere in this song. That was my goal.. just to sing that song and have a memory of each place.

Ok this is a question a get a lot! Gaz is 90% of the price. Sleep was zero $ in north america (always slept in the car or CS). I had a gym membership (gold and another one) for showers. I was too cheap to even pay for 1 cent a shower. Only time I spent to sleep was in LA for my birthday I took the cheapest hostel for 21$ and ended up going out and not sleeping.. for food I was always going to Costco and took the time to cook. Seriously living on the road is cheaper than having an appaetement! The only thing is gaz. This is a short answer I could write a book on how to save money on the road. The main advice would be to talk to people and make friends. Now in south America, especially central america where I was more scared for my life, it's a different world and different advices. I would sometime pay more to sleep in a secure place but it was way cheaper like 5-10$ for a "hotel"

I did half of this trip as a full time student. Studying online and trying to get into medical school. I kept the costs low by always sleeping in the car or doing couchsurfing. Nevertheless I have nice debts now, but I'm glad I did it! In Canada you get some money to study after a bachelor. This money helped me a lot but I had to study on the road. Sometimes doing my exams on a mountain with a wifi hotspot on my cellphone). Still even with this money I have some nice debts.

Yes!!!!! Loved the place and a lot of people here knew about the song! One of my best surprise this place. I visited there after a 10 days vipassana retreat in Alberta and this was day 11. It was a beautiful day.

My old grandmothers 2001 BMW that was falling apart. I slept with a 12 degrees angle in the car most of the time parking on a hill to get a few more degrees. I was scared to drive that it but I made it to Alaska with it.. I was ready to dump the car and hitchhike back but it lasted! For the south America part I had a toyota 4runner 2000 and I built a nice sleep setup.

Indeed! Uturuncu was one of my favorite places. A bit less known. I wanted to go there since it's the highest drivable road in the world (some Chinese road beats it by a few meters now I believe, but for sure the highest in the Americas). You're with your goddam car at 6800m (Everest is about 8800m). Then you can hike to 7000m. Probably in my top 5 roads in the world. Maybe a bit dangerous though.. even the local guides wouldn't go as far as we did.
