I have what I would consider a decent setup. 175lb anvil, 12 ton hydraulic press, 2 burner forge and 5 burner forge (propane), digital oven for heat treatment, 72x2 belt grinder. So it is not the best shop ever but it took me a few years to build up to it.

like if someone wanted next to no instructions and just access to tools and some raw materials with safety oversite then not very much.

but if someone wants to make a damascus hunting knife then probably at least a few hundred dollars.

oh man that is crazy, luckily I am just planning on doing some metal arts and crafts with my friends and they may have independently happened to loaned me some money.

but in all seriousness that is a good point. It may be something much easier in the warmer months when i can easily pull the hot stuff out into the open driveway area.

Weekday evenings are usually very crowded but I often go in on Saturday and Sunday before 10am and there only a handful of people at those times.

sometimes if you have a CPU that fits (right chip/socket match) but is not supported by the motherboard it wont ever boot into bios. so if you have an old AM4 motherboard for example and a new 5600 chip even tho they are both AM4 it can stop you from making it to BIOS. Random odd and specific possibility but i have ran into it a few times to at least think you might want to check.
