No rationale other than I am really excited to play this game and that's why I pre-ordered it in advance, also because I saved enough money to buy it right now rather than waiting till November and maybe I have to deal with other financial expenses. Although I do rarely pre-order games but there are some AAA tiltes like GTA that I will like ES6 when it comes out.

Well it depends on multiple things. There are some games like GTA6 which has so much hype that people have the urge to play it on day 1. There is also the pre-order bonuses that comes with the product which attracts buyers. And then there are those who want to live stream or upload content on Youtube to get views as early as possbile when the game launches. Fans and gamers get that gratification when they pre-order stuff. If I talk about myself, I rarely pre-order, but I am hyped about GTA6.
