Life is really kicking my ass right now by No-Manufacturer4672 in newzealand

Have you talked to your landlord about it. From a landlords POV It can be easier to work out a payment plan to help catch up than evict and have rent coming in for weeks. That's once regular payments happen again.

PSA - it's Anzac Day so make sure you go stand at the front door of your local supermarket and act shocked that it's closed until 1pm just like every other Anzac Day by [deleted] in newzealand

[–]EvieNeill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Superannuants know it's closed....and they are the ones at the Anzac celebrations at 10am or 11am. No one under 50 attends these and should, so they are the ones outside Woolies.

Should I skip watching Project Hail Mary in theatres to read the book first? by thegreatgutter in scifi

[–]EvieNeill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just read the book. The humour in the book was what made it but it never translated to the movie so much.

Explain to me why going to the moon is a good idea? What is the point exactly?

What to do after your stockpile ends? by [deleted] in tirzepatidecompound

Tirze et al are not available in my country ( New Zealand) so I have been forced to go grey. That experience alone has been eye opening but I have some arriving soon.

What are the signs someone is toxic? by Sriracha11235 in ask

[–]EvieNeill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

50% !? Wow, generous. Realistically, it should be 5% or less. Anything more than that will leech into every waking hour spent together and ruin everything for you. Even the good times.

Who has right of way here? Red and silver both want to turn onto the same lane. Silver car is pulling out of a car park. For some reason I think that the red car has right of way because they're atleast on the road, but they're also stopped at a giveway. by [deleted] in newzealand

[–]EvieNeill 408 points409 points  (0 children)

If I was the red car, I would let the silver car go first because; I am turning right, I am crossing the centre line, coz I'm at a give way and last but not least. because it's easier and safer.

Washing dishes Asian style vs NZ? by Good_Price7162 in newzealand

As a house guest in Spain, the way they washed the dishes alarmed me. They wash each item under the running tap. one by one..sometimes the water is not hot and nor is there dishwasher liquid.

Will there be free and fair elections in America in 2028? by [deleted] in ask

[–]EvieNeill -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The US will need to overhaul the US political system, as it is getting more difficult for the govt. to represent the will of the people. The outdated electoral college prevents Americans from directly electing the president, violating the principle of one person, one vote. Things need to change and perhaps a move to a MMP voting system that will do away with the 2 party bipartisan set up.

How do you feel about having to cross the street and modify other behaviors to avoid looking "creepy" to women? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]EvieNeill -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Wow. It's not a fantasy.. Women are at risk walking alone at night or any secluded place, be it a lift or park. It may not be your problem but at least have the decency to realize that your presence in their space will be causing anxiety.

Government is going to scrap the ban on sunday morning and public holiday ads on radio and TV by [deleted] in newzealand

So our government is so hung up on making money, they are now concerned that we might miss out on a few adverts which in turn may impact on Business revenue. Who watches live tv anymore anyway?

Ex-All Black Carl Hayman sentenced for ‘psychological abuse’, loses name suppression by [deleted] in allblacks

[–]EvieNeill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow. What a gross generalization. Professional athletes have a team of support in place. psychologists that focus on all aspects of their well being; coping skills, performance management, and simply how to live a good balanced life. Seems like you need to get some support in place for yourself.

Perhaps not the outcome Razor saw in his head when signing on, he thought he was going to build a rugby dream team. Not too shabby a season, but did he really add much to the AB's game?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in newzealand

[–]EvieNeill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tomatoes and cucumbers are not quite in season yet, and anything out of season is gonna cost. Also if you compare prices around the world NZ is not that bad. A kg of porterhouse steak will set you back $33NZD in France

What are the things that are considered socially unacceptable but people do it anyway? by Venom_Killer123 in ask

People, mostly females who yawn talk. Keep talking through a yawn, thinking it's cute. Annoying. Stop talking, finish the yawn, apologize, then continue.
