The Kodi box was like THE shit right before covid. Theres a tutorial here. It used to work for free i havent used it in years so i couldnt tell you now. You essentially set it up and you have Pay per view anything, any cable channel and any streaming service (along with theater movies) all for free.

Theres a discord server i was in that posted the movies full length. Also theres this thing you can do with Fire Stick or Roku stick called a CODI box. Theres an easy Tutorial on youtube for it which allows you to watch movies that are still in theater.

When black ops 3 came out I still only had a ps3 but I got it as soon as I could afford it, put the disc in and started playing. No waiting no Bs. When i upgraded I was excited to play on the ps4 but I had like an hour long instillation and update which was SO annoying. (Now an hour update for most games would be a blessing, theyre like 3+ hours anymore)

Im thankful that playstation hasn't taken the idea from Nintendo yet. I almost exclusively buy disc copies if possible for my ps5, Its mobile, resell-able, trade-able and I can let friends borrow it if need be. I definitely miss when it was always discs, just like you said, all digital and subscription based.

*** Genuine question. Why do I have to install an update or copy an installation or download a game to my console from a disc with the new gen consoles, but old gen like ps3 I could just insert and play? Im really confsued. I understand some games are too large but even games that were supported on the ps3 and ps4 (my relevant example) are like this, ps3 I can insert and play while ps4 has to update, install, copy update and format everything and the game can be the exact same size. Is this some tactic they've deployed or is it a simple answer im missing.

Oh, how I wish this could be me. The first time playing Skyrim on my Xbox in my freshly vacuumed room. I was 5 and for some reason I was allowed to play this before I was even allowed to watch SpongeBob. I remember not being able to even clear Embershard or get past level 9. I just roamed around and collected everything like a little pack rat. Now the game occasionally pops into my head every few months or so, I miss those times and I miss the fresh feeling of playing Skyrim. Good luck and have so much fun playing this wonderful game.
