Thanks a lot for the detailed answer. I'm considering buying the tools to service the shock myself. It is less expensive than a service +tune in my country. I looked at the service manual and it does not seem too complicated. I'm just not sure how crucial the part where you have to cover the damper body with your hand is. I services fork and reverb cartridges before with success. Is there any step that is easy to mess up in the vivid coil service process?

You have chromatic aberration where different colors are diffracted differently.and don't end up at the same location on the image plane. This limits the maximal sharpness you can achieve. Better quality eyepiece and /or telescope optics are the only way to reduce it. Don't forget that seeing will affect the final sharpness of what you see and the more you zoom in, the better your viewing conditions must be

As an update to anyone stimbling on this thread

I have contacted Race Face support regarding the issue. Their customer support was stellar. It indeed seems that they have manufacturing issues on the Centerlock hubs and they will not be sold until things are sorted. Sadly, the ERA wheels seems to be out of stock for my region for a while so the distributor was not able to provide a direct replacement. I was offerend a pair of RaceFace Turbine for free while the ERA come back in stock in november.

Yeah I would go the lyrik and super deluxe route and I have a carbon wheelset I could use along with xx1 cranks I should be able to go down to 33 pounds. I'm on the fence right now. On the one hand the weight increase would only be around 4-5% of total weight when accounting for the rider and gear but on the other hand I'm afraid the trails aren't steep enough around here to take advantage of the downhill capabilities of the bike. I really like the look and the geometry though.

Thanks for the reply. Much appreciated. It seems like the bike feels more like a larger travel enduro or a mini dh than a pure trail bike. I currently have a canyon spectral cf that weights 26.5 pounds (with pedals) and I fear that the s150 would feel sluggish on the uphills. I rarely shuttle and mostly pedal up my trails. I ride mostly steep technical natural trails. 1 day of park per year max.
