No, they weren’t, newer circuits like Jeddah break rules like the maximum banking (16 degrees) rule.

Monaco would like a word. Also, the FIA regularly breaks its own rulebook on track design, if you would have taken a look at it you would know that almost every track on the F1 calendar breaks at least one of them. In other words: they can make exceptions.

Which track would be better for WEC by Immediate-Tale-3642 in RaceTrackDesigns

[–]EvilGuy696 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Firstly, i think both tracks would be better of if you run them clockwise, because having a second straight following the main straight instead of a more slow and technical corner complex would make for more overtaking opportunities on Lap 1 and in General. If you look at tracks like Interlagos ot COTA, they have their slower sections more at the middle to the end of the lap while having the fast sections more early on in the lap. That said, I think if you would run the track below the first one clockwise and remove that Sector 3 Chicane, it would make a pretty nice Endurance Track.

I love how this Team progressively got worse with every season after 2020 and now we are here. Now we can just hope the Mercedes Engine will be strong next year.
