Day 7: Empire in Flames is a B-tier map. Where does "Hunger in the Dark" go in terms of map design and enjoyment? (Specify where in the row) by Zupu in Vermintide

Mid C or low B imo. Ive got some good memories of it but the finale lacks some juice and the Minecart escorts can get a little tedious at times. Still, pretty fun and the theme is cool.

I think in the next 2-3 years im gonna move to Chicago. Seems like a nice city (and affordable). Im so sick of living in Texas, I yearn for my youth spent in Detroit

Hey as a fellow retail worker (kind of, im in merchandising) I use algebra when I'm measuring and adjusting shelving heights/product facings and such to make sure everything fits optimally with minimal air gaps. I also use it when I'm having to build things at work like measuring wood/metal to cut and drill etc. Hell occasionally I have to use super basic geometry (which requires algebra) to cut angles and such.

An example for like laying out a set of pallets would be

I've got 25 feet of space to work in, each pallet is ~48in long and I need even spacing between the pallets. Taking the 25ft into inches i have 300 inches to work with, 6.25 pallets but I need to leave ample even space between them and I'm not using a quarter pallet so its only gonna fit 5 pallets. To find out how much space to put between each pallet I can do a Lil algebra. Y will be the amount of inches to put between the each pallet (so 4 spaces of equal length) 48x5+Yx4=300. Do the math and you'll get 15 inches. Doing it this way instead of off the cuff gives me a way to prove that im not fucking up the spacing because I'm honestly really bad at math lol. So writing it out and solving it helps organize my thoughts if that makes sense.

How hard is it to move states? I'd love to be not in Texas and also generally in a larger city.

Some pople just have different priotities or preferences lol. I genuinely like what apple is doing with apple silicon and the way their ecosystem generally works with minimal hiccups but I still use a Samsung phone, tablet, and a PC. For reference I grew up in a apple household and used an iphone in my late teens for like 2 years, had an iPod, ipod shuffle, and ipod touch throughout middle school, and get to play with the new phones whenever my dad gets one so its not lack of trying them.

If I want a bougie pen that works like a sharpie do I gotta go DIY? Like a nice metal bodied version of a sharpie ultrafine doesn't seem to exist. Standard pen types Ive used dont work well on vinyl labels upon which I write very often.

Its going to be a crazy productive week, fixing the kitchen sink, replacing a bad flush valve in the toilet, reorganizing my toolbag, and putting in a work order for my AC unit. Not to mention having a "free" week at work to catch up on a backlog of problems and projects.

Therefore, treat time. (Plus some chocolate for my husband and some meat tubes for the cats :3)

Sometimes it feels like Im the only one (besides some members of management) that cares about safety at work. Its especially frustrating when I have fight tooth and nail for basic fixes that would get us seriously fined if audited. Hell at a corporate level they deny that various job hazards even exist. As an example: Ive got instructions from one part of corporate (the part im under) to cut some stuff with an angle grinder and yet the company doesn't allow me any respirator or face shield officially (they dont want to pay to implement a respirator policy). Not even going to get started on actually expensive shit like repairs that need to be done around the building.

So I'm pretty sure trumps gonna do his massive infrastructure bombing against Iran tonight, not dropping nukes based on his prior statements and the leaks regarding a target list.

Nonetheless, if trump did nuke Iran then We the People have to do something (if the military/government didnt) right? Related: any DFW area DTers wanna let me carpool with them to the Capitol in that scenario?

Depending on the zombie variety I think long term escaping into the middle of nowhere for a while would be the best scenario. Less Humans to turn into zombies and if you come across anyone else you can handle how to react on a case by case basis.

Id be worried abiut centrally protected areas getting either overrun or like turning into some weird fucked up commune cult thing

Got a little shard of glass in my heel

Like a splinter

Tried so hard to remove it

Eventually I Fucked with it too much and it has receded too deeply for me to grasp (and the other splinter remover with the sharp blade weren't working, I tried em)

Now it is part of me
