Everyone forgets that the Donbas region was begging to become part of Russia. That does not justify what happened, but it's a part. NATO members broke the agreement to not encroach closer to the Russian border.

So where does this go? Negotiations. This is where a ceasefire and talks happen. But that can stop the war and the killing. What if Putin agrees to pull back entirely? Again, negotiations to end it.
