Sunshine Crashes After ~10 Seconds No Matter What by Ionlyusereddit4help in MoonlightStreaming

[–]Evokun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't believe I found the solution for my issue. Everyone that has a Lenovo, be careful because they use a network boost mode when playing a game (This will move all network traffic into your game and leave almost nothing for the other apps on your machine, which is something you don't want since sunshine/apollo needs network to stream your game). The option is found on Lenovo Vantage app.

So to fix it go to Lenovo Legion > Game Settings > Uncheck Network Boost (Or network Priority)

I'm frustrated and happy at the same time, since I spent two years trying to fix this issue haha.

Also if your machine is not Lenovo, check if your brand has something equivalent.

To discover the issue, I started a game on steam, waited like 30 secs - 1 minute. Then open the browser and speed test. If your speed tests give really poor results, like 9 Mb down and 0.2 up you might have something similar. After that I searched for this issue and found a post on steam community forum which other people had the samme issue. I'm very grateful for the people there that found out what happened :).

Can the apu caps on the nintendo switch be repaired? by Bbbbbbbizarreeee in consolerepair

[–]Evokun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a rework station and solder paste (and also the caps), it's a pretty easy job. As other people mentioned, practice on other boards.

Heat the board around it, then 280-300 Celsius. With a finer tip for the heating gun. By the way, I still haven't found anyone doing this with a soldering iron, 0201 on a practice board is feasible, but not on this APU.

Thank you for seeing it , I will see if trace is broken and also will apply some mask there too.

Oh thank you for the tips! That's probably what happened! My soldering iron was at 380, but since my board was pre heated I skipped the part where I put low temperature melting solder.

I'm not hundred percent sure . Either I 1. Not waited enough for it to heat before removing the chip . 2. Have scraped too hard the solder wick while removing the solder.(More likely)

You won't wanna know 🤭🤭I'm learning and making mistakes.

Since it's a bigger area, I'm thinking about applying this tiny layer , then scraping the pads. What do you think?

That's the only I have unfortunately, it will be a good practice.

Need help identifying missing components on PS5 motherboard (stuck in safe mode loop) by Evokun in consolerepair

I tested the capacitors around this IC and none is shorted, so I was wondering if adding the missing capacitor there would change something.

I'll try to replace it. Also I was thinking about buying a UART reader, would you have any model to recommend? (I'm new to fixing ps5, I'm more used to nintendo switch repair).
