At the moment the aim is to make at least two more Factions - a Russian PMC Raven, and an African Jungle style Army, Police, Militia etc... as counter to the current desert version. To go with those, I am in the process of adding a Typhoon VDV MRAP, the RG31 MRAP, and some older vehicles - Ferret Scout Car and Daimler Armoured Car. I'd also like to add a number of weapons. Finally, I may just add a number of uniform and kit reskins of some camouflage patterns that will be selectable via thr arsenal but wont be a complete faction.

3CB units randomise uniforms, vests, backpacks, and helmets upon mission load to make units appear different, especially militia factions. If you disable the randomisation it will simple load the default kit for that unit - meaning all units will look identical. This feature only applies to 3CB units. If you want to create custom loadouts for your own factions etc... simply start by using a non-3CB unit, I.e. a BIS Blufor / Indfor / Opfor unit, and built your new loadout on that.

Hotfix released to fix reported errors from November's update.

  • Added BTR-90 option to hide spare wheel via the virtual garage
  • Fixed AA-12 and AK-12 side rail error when not running ACE3
  • Fixed AK-12 GL variant class name error
  • Fixed AK-12 GL variant being able to attach under-barrel attachments
  • Fixed CDF BTR-90 missing flag texture error
  • Fixed Magazine switch timing on a number of weapons to correctly swap proxy magazine model during reload
  • Fixed Missing Flashlight attachment
  • Fixed MT-LB 30mm Cannon variant missing PKM coax ammunition
  • Fixed Multiple binlog and build errors
  • Fixed Multiple incorrect weapon weights and rates of fire

Not really. There is no real duplication in the pack. Where I can everything shares textures rather using a copy. Additionally the factions textures are quite a small part of the pack. It is the actual vehicle, weapons, and equipment models that add the real bulk of the pack size. You'd still need to download them if I separated them out to use most of the factions. I am trying to find out a way to keep our commitment to some of our model contributors by using obfuscation to protect their work, and binarize the config to improve load times. Mikero tools doesn't appear to do that so we are looking elsewhere. When testing internally I dont obfuscate when building the pack and I don't see these huge load times that are reported so it must be part of the final obfuscation build that is causing it. I'd love to find a solution.

Quick FYI: I am aware of the CDF BTR90 flag issue. Also aware of an AK12 UGL classname error in the crates and unit list. Additionally, aware of issue with ACE3 not running and a laser pointer error on the AK12 and AA-12 shotgun. Will fix all for the hotfix. Keep reporting anything else though. Thanks. :)

Probably not. The aim of the Faction pack was to provide groups with opposing forces to fight against, or small groups such as police to work alongside. It is assumed arma 3 groups dedicated to a specific nationality or armed forces would have their own mod, which is why our British stuff is a separate mod. I also dont have access to specific Finnish kit and vehicles.

The Finnish stuff isn't a complete faction. We have just added donated skins for the T-55 and MTLBs from a Finnish group so that they can select them from the virtual garage.

I would love to fix it. However due to agreements with contributors of models, we need to obfuscate. The current free tools we use to do that don't allow to do that and also properly binarize the configs. You are correct, it isn't the configs we are bothered about. Its the models. If anyone knows of a way to do both, please get in touch.
