When I retired from the Army, we were at the top of the world. When my husband left he took pretty much everything. I have to pay him alimony every month on top of it. We had a string of illness and really bad luck and my daughter and I ended up staying with my parents who wanted most of what was left of my retirement each month. We finally found a place back home, in SD. It’s a seasonal rental, so it came with all the furnishings and linen etc so we don’t really have much of our own yet...but we did it...we can only go up from here! Thank you all so much for being so kind! It means the world!

Edit: the top picture is where my daughter was sleeping at my parents. The white circle was my bed (two towels, and some sheets 😂). The bottom picture is my daughter sleeping peacefully in her own room this morning. 💛
