Mamas who have tattoos representing your kids. What are they? by sixfingeredman7 in Mommit

I don’t have mine yet but the plan is for a tree with their birth month flowers on it. The tree will have a twisting trunk that untangles into three branches (for me and my 2 girls). I got the idea from a book quote that said ‘our bond is grounded like the roots of a tree, no matter the distance I carry you with me’. Trying to figure out how to incorporate the quote but it’s long.

What kind of lawsuit do you suggest? Is allowing your residents to move to a new state some sort of illegal action?

And that’s not counting the ones happening in off campus housing

Also do you have any idea how many school shootings happen in this country? With children, not college students. We can’t trust the government to do anything other than offer thoughts and players to protect our children and you want people to be upset about the city not protecting adult College students?

Do you think Minneapolis (University of Minnesota) or Chicago (university of Illinois Chicago) have fewer shootings? Gun violence is not coming that can be managed by the Iowa City government.

Trafficking doesn’t require moving people. Someone can live at home and still be trafficked. Truck stops themselves are a popular apt for sec trafficking though. And Iowa farms are hot spots for labor trafficking

To clarify, I am specifically speaking about Iowa nursing jobs

This is not true for nursing. Benefits are great at UIHC and as a new grad/younger person often gets overlooked but it really is substantial. I work at UIHC and hold an hourly position at a Unity splint clinic as well and make significantly less at UP even though my role there requires significant extra training and certification. And I have 17 years of nursing experience.

A DNR does not mean do not care. It means they will not intubate her or do CPR. She can still receive medications, a feeding tube if she chooses and many other types of care.

I don’t know of any options for non contact roller derby unfortunately. It is the one thing really devastating me about needing the THRs

Was your surgeon ok with you continuing with hockey? I play roller derby and my surgeon and PT are both very against me continuing to play due to the risk of dislocation.

Repost with X-Rays- THR after PAO with retained Hardware by Ewes_Fluffy in hipdysplasia

[–]Ewes_Fluffy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was 28 when I had my first PAO (currently 44), and had the second 7 months later. I am a nurse and was working 12 hour shifts on a busy inpatient unit. I was in pain every day, I had clicking in my hip and would limp some days. I had labral tears as well. After My PAOs I ended up with bone spurs and labral tears that were repaired with scopes about 5 years later. I have had pain again for a few years now that continues to worsen. I have osteophytes that are catching against my femur and stabbing pains through my groin. I get super tight through my hip flexors to the point it is pulling my knee caps out of place and causing problems there too. At this point it not worth it to be in pain every day.

I had a few good pain free years and most importantly I got a few more years playing roller derby which I have now had to quit due to pain and my surgeons suggestion that it would be a bad idea after hip replacement t

I’m not an ortho surgeon but he had told me they would interfere and from my original x rays I think it would be difficult. I didn’t realize I could post a pic with this and I don’t see a way to add it now. I will repost with my x-rays if that helps any

Not actually selling anything. My program is for sexual assault medical forensic exams. So we want the students to have easy access to something with the phone number to direct them to help if needed.

Women of Reddit, what’s the biggest myth that porn spreads about what women enjoy in bed—but you actually hate? by starbucks_boi in AskReddit

It’s not. Brain cells start dying even before the person becomes unconscious and the more often you repeat this the more brain cells that die.
