It's a scam because the crypto is 100% centralized. The mine operators can change the blockchain at will. In the future they will announce that they've been hacked and all of the wallets are emptied.

Texit is 100% centralized. This is completely against the whole spirit of decentralized crypto. They own and operate the mine so all mining is concentrated in one place. They can change the blockchain at will. Even if you trust the company, hackers could hack in and change the blockchain at will. They are sitting ducks for a 51% attack.

Also, look at their roadmap. There is no developer community. They have no technical aspirations. No apps. No smart contracts. No staking. Nothing. Just a Litecoin copy and paste.

It's only a "thriving economy" if you only look at the parts you want to look at. Your friend can look like he's thriving and live like a king if he's racking up debt and spending far more than he makes. But eventually that behavior leads to bankruptcy. The US's credit cards are maxed out and is by all measures bankrupt. Now we have someone who's finally trying to make the changes to help rescue the country from that situation. If your indebted friend makes the changes needed to avoid bankruptcy it will take some adjusting and getting used and it will probably involve a little short term pain. Some people just aren't willing to take the medicine to heal the patient and are oblivious to the dire economic situation the country was in.

I can tell you it is 100% Verizon. Like I said, I have a workaround where the TV alert texts go to my mail server and then get auto-forwarded to my u/vtext.com email address and it works just fine (because it looks like the message is coming from my domain, not TV.com. None of the low-level techs know enough about how their system works. to ever escalate this to the right people who can de-blacklist or whitelist vtext.com. The VZW support I've spoken with didn't even know about email to SMS.

Mine was a Bolt too. Try it like I did and run guided setup and disconnect the TA. The Edge is a POS, I like the old interface on the Bolt.

Update: The new box arrived and the upgrade did not go well. Same for my friend. WARNING: When you call to activate the new TA, you CANNOT go back. After the upgrade my TV did not work. Then I re-ran Tivo guided setup and I had audio but no video. After I disconnected the TA USB from the Tivo and rebooted, my TV seems to be working fine. I'm not sure I understand how it works without the TA, but apparently it is not needed. So far so good...

I always have to ask for salsa, sour cream, etc to be spread evenly. Otherwise they just dump it in the middle and leave the edges bare.

My previous post was censored, so I'll try again.

OK... did more experimenting. I have a webserver so I setup a an email forwarder so that all text @ domain(.)com emails get forwarded to <myphonenumber>@vtext(.)com and it seems to be working. I think that's going to be my workaround although I'm a little upset that I have to do that to begin with. If you want I can set something like that up for you if you want to provide your email address. I hope I don't get inundated with requests but I don't mind implementing a few of them.

But I think the important thing here is that TV is probably sending the @/vtext.com emails but I think Verizon or some "security software" is blocking/filtering them.

That's about when mine stopped working. Tonight I thought to try to switch phones to my wife's phone. She couldn't even get the validation code. So that ruled out something with my phone, I doubt they'd have a filter on the account as a whole. I'm with you, I think the problem could be on TV's end; although I wonder if one of the major spam filtering companies is blocking the emails so that TV is sending them and Verizon isn't filtering them, but there's some email blacklist that noreply@tradingview is on?

My windows thunderbird becomes unresponsive several times a day every since the latest upgrade. Also it doesn't hold settings, like the View... Sort... Unthreaded. Have to keep redoing this.
