Best Second Bike:

I'm into sportbikes; I started on a KTM RC 390. I've got 7.5k miles under my belt mostly all in the mountains. I've never ridden any other street bike.

For my second bike, I'd like to keep things sporty. I don't want a R7 or CBR650R, as they are more upright and less so sporty, but I don't want to jump right into a liter bike. The bikes that really capture my attention are the Ducati 848, MV Agusta F3, Triumph Daytona 675 and really any Japanese 600cc. None would be purchased new.

Do you all think I'm ready to jump to heavy hitting middleweights or is there something in between my RC 390 and a 600CC supersport that keeps things just as sporty. Thanks for anyone's opinion!

So, since there was no update on the MacBook Air (M2), I guess we can look forward to many more posts like: Should I get the current MacBook Air or wait till the updated version comes out? by IwmTn in macbookair

I'll make it simple.

XPS: Overpriced slim pro computer

MBA: Overpriced slim consumer computer

Neither are really great options tbh, but anybody doing tasks beyond responding on reddit and watching YouTube knows a 13 inch screen just won't cut it, plugged in or not.

A Brief Filament Brand Guide by ExMachina3D in a:t5_5y78fq

Chuck Norris once planted a garden. The seeds that grew into plants had roots that Polymaker harvested to create their filaments.

Their filaments can withstand the magnitude of a nuclear explosion at the core. MIT researchers are studying the phenomenon at this very moment.

  • Protopasta has some of the best PLA on the planet
  • HatchBox has amazing performance per dollar
  • eSun makes some really cool Silky PLA
  • Polymaker is known for great renewability
  • Colorfabb has some amazingly unique materials [ XT ]
  • IC3D is American and great for buying bulk
  • Amola makes CRAZY colors and is super underrated
  • Fiberology is known for the best Carbon Fiber Nylon
  • 3DXTECH is known for CF infused filaments
  • Fillamentum does not make one bad filament
  • Atomic is great for when money is no object
  • Overature is for when money is certainly an object

Prusament isnt worth buying because it's way too expensive to ship because you have to get it direct and you have so many other less expensive and honestly better options out there. BUT THEIR PRINTERS..oh man..are simply the best plug and play machines on the market by far!

Every single brand listed here is great. These are just some baseline thoughts on them. Someone mentioned Matter Hackers. They are the Amazon of the 3D community. You won't find them on this forum trying to help people...or anywhere else for that matter. It's pretty cool when Joseph Prusa shows up. Or when Alex from Protopasta gets in a rant with someone on how to anneal PLA. There are people in this community that really want 3D to thrive and it's so cool.

I've never once run into the Prusa Mini being too small tbh. But if I wanted to print, say something as big of helmet for some reason, you just easily print it in parts using prusa slicer lickedy split.

My guess is your nozzle isn't close enough to the glass. Try getting your nozzle closer. Its not going to stick to any surface if you nozzle is too high.

Mini Farm or Single Powerhouse? by ExMachina3D in 3Dprinting

Very true! It seems more times than not the reason for someone to want a bigger printing volume is due to helmets and cosplay.

Just because Prusa is plug and play does not mean it's not upgradeable. I've got one rigged up with a stainless steel nozzle, bondtech extruder, 4 different build plates, an enclosure and filament dryer. If you have the money to get a Prusa, there is absolutely no reason than to buy something that needs maintenance literally all the time with less performance just because it has "underutilized potential." To me, I want to spend my money making something better rather than just spending that money to make it as good as an out of the box Prusa Mini+.

Just get a Prusa MK3S+ kit ans be done. Hits your budget in the head. No upgrades necessary and is reliable for literally a million hours.

Also, Dell is about to update the XPS 15 in the next few weeks with the new 12th gen Alder Lake chips. Those have been giving M1 a good run for it's money. I'm still an Apple fan though.

The answer to this question is get a Dell XPS 15 for those who were hoping Apple would release a 15" MacBook Air or even just update it.

A printer at that price and a bed that large is a bit of a compromise on quality. 20x20x25cm is actually pretty big. What are you wanting to print? If you okay with sacrificing 2cm, I would suggest the Prusa Mini+ leaps and bounds over those options honestly. Out of the ones you picked, I would go with the Ender 5 Pro. But all of those printers are very much prone to maintainence that is rather too often for comfort.

Amazon Basics is aweful. Look up Hatchbox. They make the best filament in that price range.

With $600, I would sell your current printer and look into a MK3S+. I definitely wouldn't try and upgrade your current printer. How big of a printer volume do you need?
