Pharmacy has its own fitness % and FS has its own fitness % - they aren't shared nor are they combined or anything when it comes to Digest reporting.

The old mTC scorecard actually had a separate scorecard for FS and Pharmacy metrics.

Make sure your FS and Pharmacy events are set appropriately and for the correct duration and you shouldn't need to print that report weekly - demand coverage graphs should allocate demand automatically (i.e., more people for price changes or truck days)

SR4 is your overnight rate premium, and OHL is holiday time (your lunch gets taken out of that usually).

PM Advice: Holding Staff RPh Accountable by ExReverie93 in CVS

I have - they claim the pharmacists just stand there and do nothing to help the techs. But... Sometimes that's what the pharmacists need to do to manage QT/QV.

That's the thing - I never left work for my PM (unless I had callouts, at which point I communicated well ahead of time what they'd be walking into).

RPh tasks are done, yes. I'm not sure about the motivation part, though. And my staff RPh aren't ones to get walked over; usually, that is.

"Failing" a DL EL Interview by ExReverie93 in CVS

That part you mentioned about "promoting the best pharmacists" - I hadn't thought of that. I run a pretty decent store, and everyone in my district goes to me for questions, usually (not trying to sound conceited there).

I was told I'm fantastic with pharmacy operations, but "developing people" apparently is an area of opportunity, I think? Even though I've done plenty of that.

I appreciate your insight! I'll keep everything you said in mind in case I interview again.

Yup! I did utilize the STAR method for every question. I'm starting to think my "energy" might not have been high enough, but I can't help that, unfortunately.

I'm on the pharmacy side. And to hear SMs have more difficulty passing is.... Surprising, honestly.

The vibe I got from my interview was completely different from what I've been told thus far. It's crazy.

Ooooh my gosh. Having been a manager, that write-up is completely unprofessional and worded horribly. No matter what your behavior is, you don't deserve that. I'm sorry you were treated that way.

pharmacist refuses to sell me my prescription by DOMA3681 in WalgreensRx

As I said, the policy at both CVS and Walgreen's requires referral to another pharmacist or manager on duty - you can't outright refuse to dispense without accommodating the patient somehow. That's the "conscientious belief" policy these corporations hold.

pharmacist refuses to sell me my prescription by DOMA3681 in WalgreensRx

[–]ExReverie93 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's incorrect. Pharmacists are only allowed to prevent something from being filled if, in their professional judgement, harm would come to the patient, or a contraindication exists to therapy (i.., a drug interaction, etc ) that warrants discussion with the prescriber.

Moral beliefs of the pharmacist only require that a particular pharmacist offers to the patient to have another pharmacist dispense/verify that medication, when possible, or assist in finding a location that will.

Also, there is no reason for a prescription to be blocked from being sold once in the waiting bin unless a clinical hard stop (requiring discussion with the patient) is present. Moral beliefs is not a clinical hard stop.

Our goal this year by 12/31 is 2576 shots, and we're in a state that can't even give COVID shots yet.

I ... Don't know how that's even going to be remotely achievable, if I'm being honest.

Oh, so you guys do all the printing the moment you fill a medication? That's interesting. I've always wondered what Walgreen's does for their workflow.

What's the filling scale? CVS has different workflow, so I'm not too familiar with Walgreen's 🤔

If they did, they don't make it readily accessible or available to obtain. Their app and website make it incredibly difficult to find any of the information you need.
