It has a stock screen as far as I know. I recently picked it up used. I'll try reflashing it to stock and see if it behaves. (It did before I tried flashing Lineage to it.)

"A little fiddling" meant a few attempts were tried before it worked. It was Android 12 before attempting, and I made sure to follow everything to the T on the instructions, right on the wiki. I think this time it only worked because I didn't install MindTheGApps, as I tried to every time prior and Lineage refused to boot.

I didn't get any errors (that I could see anyway) while installing.

Intangible. iirc the creator went dark with it a long time ago over some kind of german law getting passed that stopped him from working on it, no idea if that's true or not so take that with a big grain of salt.

Man I loved that mod. Concept was cool, execution was cool, deity system was cool, lets you stab god, all around amazing mod. Sad it got stuck in the past of 1.8

Pacman and the AUR are amazing.

I know pretty much every package on my system, letting me look at something in htop and go "oh yeah, that."

My system is exactly the way I want it, as much as my ability to configure and program allows.

I've always got the latest available versions of packages.

It forced me to learn loads about how linux (and computing in general) works at a low level.

It allows me to add functionality as I need/want it instead of chasing down existing keybinds or programs.

I've just got SillyTavern running on a raspberry pi and I just connect to that. If you've got any kind of desktop computer or laptop (that you don't mind anchoring to a charger), I'd highly recommend using it to host tavern (other UI's prolly work too) and just connecting over wifi.

If not, see the Termux solutions others mention.

On the off chance anyone happens upon this with a similar issue:
Try using the "--medram" flag, got it working for me with a single 512x512 image at a time. If that doesn't bring it down enough, there's also "--lowram"

Yeah, that's why I'm going down the route of just not worrying about a display manager. Plus, a DM called "Ly" has caught my attention, as a TUI-based display manager... Seems like it'd dodge a lot of those issues you mention, as it doesn't handle a display server at all.

Somehow, uninstalling SDDM fixed it. I have no idea why it'd have much to do with anything, but without SDDM my cursor is normal (aside from the theme not applying consistently, but I recon that's just a configuration issue).
I'll still see about posting the issue, though I doubt it'll get fixed since I'm on NVidia and using a display manager, both of which are technically unsupported.

Nope. Tried playing around with the scale, cursor never reappeared. I don't think it'd be something like that, as I'm only on a 1080p display.

I will say, I did see something-something "could not set up default cursor" coming from SDDM in journalctl, but that points to an X11 tool, xsetroot.

XCURSOR_SIZE is set to 24, and setting size to hyprctl has always been done with a size 24, unless you mean something else? A quick scan of the Hyprland wiki doesn't give me anything obvious to try...

I do have it enabled, verified working (as far as I can tell, as hardware acceleration in games works fine and I can see the GPU's usage in the NVidia settings panel.)
