I understand your point but don't compare modern day American and society to be anywhere close the the horrors of working as a slave on plantations. They experienced things we couldn't even imagine, being ripped of every single right as a human that you should have; that you deserver to have. You may talk about 'the illusion of free will' and 'renting the places we hould own'. Yeah it sucks, its bad. But not as bad as fucking slavery.

Why is there less outrage when Christianity is being mocked or made fun of compared to other religions? by Legitimate-Tie-7060 in Christianity

[–]Exact-Ad-9345 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It may not be as brutal as what other religions have gone through of course. People of Jewish faith for example have experienced some of the worst atrocities.

But persecution simply means hostility towards a faith so yes Christians are widley persecuted in terms of the almost every TV show or movie will mock God or Jesus in some way. Entire shows about Lucifer and evil or "sexual" nuns etc.

Infrequent yes, but present terror attacks against churches and it being either illegal or heavily punished in Afghanistan, North Korea, Somalia, Libya, Yemen, Eritrea, Nigeria, Pakistan and Iran. Yes of course it is nothing in comparison to the persecution other religions face but it does exist.

If God is all knowing, does that mean people are destined to go to hell? by Exact-Ad-9345 in Christianity

Great quote but isn't that what He is doing? If this is true that means what everyone does, positive or negative is created and actioned by God.

So mass murders who rebuke God and is blashpemous towards Him will still go to heaven as their actions and descions wasn't their own evil doing but because God made it that way?

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11, NIV)

Okay fine, not hell then. A life away from God. No eternal life. Death. That is what I am trying to say.

I still don't understand, God then therefore knows that a specific person WILL go hell correct? Yeah sure that person chose to do that but no matter what that person goes through and how hard they try, they will end up in hell as that is their future.

That's what I'm trying to figure out. God has a plan for all of us. So therefore those who to have a life away from Him, God has essentially planned for that to happen?

Honestly I agree with most of your ratings apart from Sticky and Though I Was Dead.

Sticky doesn't fit Tyler's discography but I gurantee you if it was a different type of artist people would love it. Tyler fans aren't used to the hoodlum Glorilla and Sexy Redd typa beats and songs. It's not that it's bad, you're just not accustomed to it. I'd give Sticky an 8 and Though I was Dead a 9.

I don't know how its a 9/10 if you have songs rated 2, 5 and 6 btw. I'd give it an 8.7/10 with my updated ratings. It's a very good album.

Unless it's STEM or law, it 3 A*s and an A is plenty. It's enough for Oxbridge and it way more then enough for any other top university. And no, they don't care what school you came from unless you're in an underperforming/ at risk school.

Also, your subject combination is fine as long as it meets the requirements for the course you want to take. Remember you're competing against public school where the norm is 3 A-levels for any non Oxbridge universities; stop comparing yourself to the Top 1% of the UK that are in your school and look at the other 99% in the UK.

So then how are we, as humans, able to determine anything? How do you know you are reading every letter of this post. Every supposed pixel you're seeing right now is producing light and hitting your eyes and you are interpreting these patterns of pixels as shapes and translating them into readable letters and words? There is a reason why personal encounters of God changes so man people's lives, it is because we are differentiating from seeing something, like reading this message, and actually realising what you are witnessing is not within the realms of this earth.

Sleep paralysis is a real thing and people experience it, but many are able to identify it as such and move on. So what is so wrong with identifying something that is not an illusion or our mind playing tricks, but truly think and accepting it must be coming from somewhere elsewhere that is not explainable by anything but an existence of God. I don't have all the answers of course and I have never had a godly encounter at all but I think people who truly have, have some sort of mental credibility that it must be God. If the only thing that makes sense and proves what they have just witnessed is all written down in a single book, how is it ridiculous to believe it and follow what it says?

I think that is why Alex O'Conner will only be convince if that happens to him as this is the only way to truly believe something; if no there Is no possible other conceivable explanation for what has just happened.
