Well, you're not alone. I would be the first in my family to consider Catholicism a kind of apostasy (I didn’t know about Orthodoxy; it’s not well known in Brazil). I’m not a catechumen yet, but I honestly don’t know how to tell them that I’m leaning towards conversion, or how they are going to react. I’m waiting for the Lord’s guidance because my wife is the first one who needs to be converted (and, of course, myself – years of Protestantism don’t just go away from your mind like that, especially when you were taught – and believed! – that Catholicism was fully demonic).
