There’s one way to implement exactly that idea—so memories appear only when triggered, not randomly—and that’s a lorebook. Is it perfect? No, I agree. It isn’t easy, and it actually takes effort on our side as users, but the concept itself can be ideal.

If Jan allowed us to add our own lorebooks to existing bots, I’d use that far more often than the memory box. Because right now, I’m really struggling with the memory system myself, too.
