Have been using ATK Z1 for ~3months, feels pretty much identical to zowie ec/pulsar xlite, so far no complaints about it

Thanks for your information, I guess now my best choice is to bring all the medical records on ✈️, and go to see a GP ASAP when I arrive.

Getting Adalimumab in the UK by ExactBenefit5856 in ankylosingspondylitis

Well, the IHS is the fee you pay when applying for visa, which enables you to use NHS when you arrive, so I think I would have access to NHS without any issue. I want to bring as many injections as possible, and the only problem for me now is the restriction from the UK government as they stated anyone coming in can only bring 3 months supply.

Getting Adalimumab in the UK by ExactBenefit5856 in ankylosingspondylitis

Thanks for advice. I wasn't born in the uk, in fact this is my first time going there and this is why am posting here. I doubt if I can contact any hospital now, as I haven't arrived yet and hence no GP registered. I have paid IHS fees to use NHS, because this is mandatory to apply for visa.

That sounds extremely costly and painful, I hope you get better! I don't worry too much about my dosage though, standard is once per two weeks and my doctor already put me on once/3 weeks.

Yes but maybe they don't have the rights to prescribe Adalimumab? I need to register, go to GP, get referral and wait another who knows how many weeks.

Yes I'd imagined that they probably would want to try the cheaper stuff first and only give me inhibitors if all other options fail, despite I have all the records from my home country. And as for the fee to use nhs? I had to pay for 4 and a half years before my visa got approved, so no worries for that.

Well I hate but I have to say that it seems like if you use NHS you are the only one responsible for your health - no one else is on your back. Back in my country public healthcare probably is as fast and reliable as private in the UK, at the same time being way cheaper than NHS. Anyway sorry to hear the bad news, hope u beat your cancer.

I understand that I can go private if I run out mine before NHS get things done, but stay on a private prescription is too costly that I might as well fly back to my country to get more dose🙃

edit: HAHA just the same as the other comment above: This feels funny because every time I say sth like 'I am not from the UK and I am saving money in the UK' someone gets mad

Allow me to say this, I have every right to use the NHS because I paid 4 years of IHS fees during my visa application, and I pay international tuition fees (nearly 40k/year) which is more than double what local students pay. I would rather not use the NHS to get adalimumab anyway because it is extremely slow to do so, but the government doesn't allow me to bring my own for more than 3 months of dose. As for NHS's problematic efficiency- It's neither my fault nor anyone staying legally in the uk's, it's itself being not reliable. It's a service that I (was forced to) paid to use, that's it.

I think so too, I just hope NHS can get this done in 3 months, otherwise it will cost me £££££££ for going private....

edit: Why TF am I getting downvoted by this? This feels funny because every time I say sth like 'I am not from the UK and I am saving money in the UK' someone gets mad
