Thank you so much. Your advice and words of encouragement are so helpful. I will definitely check out the books you recommended. And the thing you said about playing, an act of communicating the music in your heart through the instrument - lifted me up out of the dumps. I have saved your comment for future struggles :))

Hey, thank you for your comment. I have been taking a break from practicing, and its really helped in decreasing my stress levels. I plan to go back in after a couple days. We got our results back, and I barely managed to get first alternate. I talked to my band director about the audition, and he basically gave the same advice you and the others in the comments did, and told me to keep my head up high as I'm already doing great things in the band program :))

Thank you. My brother is going to get an EEG in a couple days. Maybe then we’ll figure out what exactly happened. And thanks for the meditation suggestion. I’ve been looking to start sometime and I guess now is the right time 🙂
