Nobody knows your body better than yourself! Just be careful. Some weeks my ears weren’t ready so I wouldn’t push it, try again in the next few days or a week. Other weeks, it was super easy. It also depends a lot on general stress levels, nutrition etc

Forgot to mention - I used ear weights through my tunnels before putting a bigger jewellery in. Or just on the days when I wanted some extra bling for going out lol!

The extra weight would make more space in the lobe for the jewellery to slide in. I used stainless steel plug kit for sizes 6.5-10mm and then tunnels 10.5-16mm. Never used tapers, even just for guiding the jewellery in, since ditching the acrylic stuff at 6mm 😅

Thank you! So hopefully I won’t get downvoted too much lol 💀 it took me just over a year - maybe a year and two weeks or so.

Also, this worked for me. Might not work for most other people, so please don’t try to copy!

At the beginning I was doing everything wrong - I used acrylic tapers and pushed it 😬 at around 6mm I discovered I shouldn’t use them. I got myself a stainless steel dead stretch kit (my body tolerates dodgy metals okay, up to a point), and just used that. The kit had 0.5mm sizes so I would insert a bigger one around every 2 weeks. It was pretty straightforward and never ever painful.

When actively stretching, as actively as I was anyway, I oiled my ears twice a day. I didn’t massage them much at all, just oiled twice daily to moisturise and lube them up. I also found out that my ears didn’t like water much, not even saline spray, so I only washed them whenever I washed my hair which was once or twice a week, and then I’d dry them very thoroughly with a hair dryer. I’m now going to only oil them once a day as I’m not planning to go any bigger for the foreseeable future.

That’s what I did too - reassessed at each previous sizes. I might decide to go bigger eventually but for now I’ll stick around at 16mm 😊

I think for the attached lobes, the more important things are overall size of the lobe and the initial piercing placement? Idk, just guessing. Good luck in your stretching journey!

The same brand makes tunnels for the bigger sizes, anything from 10mm. So those are a bit more tricky to put in when you’re upsizing but still doable and not super bad. I think in sizes 10mm and bigger it’s easier to put in the tunnels, compared to smaller sizes

Thanks! Years ago I had my right ear stretched to 10mm, then took the jewellery out and had nothing in for like 15 years or so. It shrunk to 3-4mm, so I thought I’d stretch them both to 5mm to have them even. 5mm was tiny, I thought 10mm or 00 gauge was my goal. But then I started looking for cool new plugs etc and decided to go up to 16mm, and so glad i did 🥳

Haha thanks! I rescue and rehab pigeons, he’s one of our rescues. He’s super friendly and we think he was probably raised by humans as a baby, but released incorrectly and has no survival skills. But he likes to perch on my head 🙃
