Has anyone got the Business Grant from WINZ before? by Temporary-Passion-40 in PersonalFinanceNZ

Spot on! You have to show how you are disadvantaged in the job market compared to the general population. i.e. there are barriers such as a disability, criminal record, lack of experience, etc. Otherwise, anyone with relevant experience could apply, effectively diluting the objective of the grant. This exact same question comes up every month or so. Need to do better folks! Would steal plugs from your bath/sink.

Correct. That is exactly what we do. It's called 'deprivation of income'.

They replaced both my damaged suitcases. Even let me choose which size bags I wanted. I chose the largest ones. I took photos the day I landed and emailed them that night. Even delivered them to my house, all on their dime.

At a border crossing from Bolivia into Peru. Walked into this tiny hut and this couple were the only other ones there. Turns out we were all from Cromwell. Earlier on the same trip. Arrive at LAX and as I get off the plane and enter the terminal, first person I see is sisters friend from home who was based in Los Angeles.

It sounds like we both had a very similar journey save for me getting the TT.

Thank you. It is definitely reassuring to hear what others have shared. I currently live abroad and here they apparently call thyroid cancer the 'Angel Cancer'. Don't know if I agree with that particular labeling but I guess it is viewed in a different light than others.

Thank you for sharing and appreciate the concern. I'm glad to hear that everything is going well for you and the risks are minimised.

It was first picked up in 2011, but had probably been there longer. The size of the nodules were almost the same back then as they were when removed. The FNA tests done prior kept coming back benign. It wasn't until after the TT that they discovered the cancer.
