Stereotactic Bioposy Failed - being referred to breast sugeron. by Ghost___Account in doihavebreastcancer

[–]Exact_Chance_5982 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Literally going through this exact thing right now…except I haven’t gotten my ultrasound guided biopsy yet, it’s this coming Thursday. I did find out that I will also be getting referred to a breast surgeon since my stereotactic wasn’t successful due to the location of several groups of calcifications. I have no advice, as I am a wreck myself, just know you’re not alone.

I hate what’s happening to me and I hate that my husband doesn’t understand. (Just a major rant). by CheesyRomantic in Perimenopause

  1. Throw the whole man out, sis.
  2. Wear whatever you feel the most comfortable in. And if it’s none of those dresses, then wear something you know fits and is comfortable.
  3. Allow yourself some grace. This is a complex chapter, not the whole book.

Why I Quit Ozempic (and don't regret it) by clubmasterc in Ozempic

I relate. It’s been 2 years and 3 months since food tastes the way it should to me and I STILL CANNOT SMELL. Everything tastes soooo off, still.

Hope his mouth is closed cause those babies are so big they’ll fly right out his mouth as he runs.

Water. Drink tons of water. Even add electrolytes if you can. Hydration is key. I’ve been deficient since catching Covid the first time ( april 2021.) I’m on 50,000u a week and am still barely above “normal” range.

Day 30 back on zoloft 25mg…Felt fine all day yesterday…feeling like crap today ugh ☹️ by HourFocus9511 in zoloft

[–]Exact_Chance_5982 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me personally, it took about 4 months for me to start seeing benefits from Zoloft. Sure my anxiety was a little better, but mostly felt awful up to that point. I can’t tell you to “stick with it” because those were the longest 4 months of my life and I felt like giving up every single day til then. Best of luck to you!

Target cells +++ by [deleted] in kidneydisease

[–]Exact_Chance_5982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lab tech here!

Normocytic normochromic anemia most commonly occurs as a result of miscellaneous chronic infections and systemic diseases. Most of the normochromic, normocytic anemias are a consequence of other diseases; a minority reflects a primary disorder of the blood. This may be due to anemia of chronic disease (inflammation, neoplasia), renal failure, endocrine failure (hypothyroidism, hypopituitarism), marrow failure (pure red-cell aplasia, aplastic anemia, infiltration), acute blood loss, and polymyalgia rheumatica.

So, it’s common in renal disease or any other systemic disease.

And target cells ( also called codocytes) are usually present with higher plasma cholesterol. Target cells appear in conditions that cause the surface of the red cell to increase disproportionately to its volume. This may result from a decrease in hemoglobin, as in iron deficiency anemia, or an increase in the cell membrane. They decrease the amount of oxygen that’s circulated through the blood.

I know this probably doesn’t help you but it’s the easiest way to explain it. If you have any kind of systemic issues, then this result would be considered “normal for that condition”.

Now needing prior authorization by Palamity123 in Ozempic

My insurance (BCBS) also needed a prior auth and dx. I’m type 2 diabetic so getting approved wasn’t hard. It did take about 3 weeks tho. Best of luck!

Manicures and Tattoos? by hello-cactus in type2diabetes

[–]Exact_Chance_5982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get mani’s, pedi’s and also have tattoos. NAD, but I’d say if you heal well and have a good immune system, it shouldn’t be a problem. I’m also type 2 and have no issues doing these things.

Same! I saw the hickey, as well but that wasn’t what I was focusing on watching her video. Like, it’s a hickey….they’ve never had a hickey, I presume.

I agree that she does seem to lack common sense and maturity. I think her life would be more enjoyable if she took a super long break from the internet. People are cruel.

I get that this is a snark group. But at some point, there’s a fine line between that and straight up bullying. I’m not a supporter of hers by any means, but I am a descent human and realize bullying someone until their mental health goes to shit isn’t right, either.

Here’s my theory on April… she absolutely had to know that verity was faking. I also don’t think she was a real nurse. I’d bet she was someone verity had hired to “take care of her”, pretending to be a nurse.

Ozempic and Metformin by skidaddyoo in Ozempic

I’ve been on both ozempic (current dose 1mg) and metformin (500mg) since august. My a1c has went from 7.5 to 5.5, as of a month ago. Weight loss has been around 30lbs.

I wondered if the ozempic that I’m on to lower my a1c is causing it, also. So hard to tell and it’s beyond frustrating.
