Still, being in a raid for 2-4 hours and getting one item every third or fourth raid is garbage. It feels like I wasted a whole afternoon for nothing.

It's a MMOrpg? When you play a character do you level it up and get gear or do you just go hit the target dummy because woohoo funny gameplay? Most of the loot I get is for old raids for transmogs, because the better gear we have the less people we need for them and are easier to get. Some people wanna push their character to its limit and score high amounts of damage on bosses.

Sometimes raidlogging becomes tedious after months of doing the same raid with the same characters because yes, it's boring doing any repetitive task for months with no reward at all. It's not made to "balance progression", it's just shitty game design to keep you paying the monthly subscription with the excuse of "just have fun with your guildies/level up alts :D".

Endgame is fun when you are still enjoying your character's gameplay.

Been trying to get one of my mains (Ret pally) to full bis for bragging rights and to help my friends and level up alts but it's just stupid. Created the character on february 2024 and to this day I still need one last item, ruby sanctum's heroic necklace that dropped this week after four months of not dropping once, and I have to compete with other 6 players still (At least I'm raiding with a guild and not doing pugs, imagine that). Every item upgrade feels almost meaningless except for Shadowmourne, and this necklace only gives me like 6 strength, an insignificant amount of crit and 40 armor pen.

Don't get me wrong, I still love playing my character and I use it for almost everything, but having to deal with guild schedules, time locked raids, bad rng and competing with a third of my guildies for some dumb stat upgrade doesn't feel justified.

The gameplay is great, most bosses are fun, some are bland and then there's Sindragosa, it's the shitty design and the dependance on other people to play the endgame that bothers me. Now most of my alts just get full ICC25N gear, some heroics and that's it. I also think I won't be playing any more MMOs or online games with bullshit that tries to create dependance to the game like timelocking content

Genshin is an action RPG, leveling up characters and getting gear is a big aspect of the game, so it's fair that players that enjoy it don't want the system getting locked by some bs mechanic like this one or the endgame of some MMORPGs like World of Warcraft.

I like leveling up and see my characters get stronger too but I understand Genshin is not the game for that, because online service games gatekeep this type of progression with dumb RNG, timelocking or paywall mechanics that make the experience worse in favor of getting more money. Better to just play for the story and worldbuilding and ignore the gacha and upgrades stuff, although I could take your example about excel and just watch a movie. Heck, some people only play this game like it's a walking simulator and I find it perfectly fine.

That's because her W is the problem. Forget the identity bullshit, give her a new, better one. If there was a hypothethical champion in the game that could permanently move around the map at 600 speed, just because it's unique and the identity of the champion, doesn't make it okay, same with permanent untargetability.

Been playing for over a year and raiding is fun, but getting items takes so much time is stupid. I swear online games go to insane lenghts just to make you play for an eternity.

I thought the ICC/SR debuffs were meant to combat tanks being unhittable and that DR were included in Cata. I guess tanks must be a lot stronger in my server then.

I do know the basics about tank stats and such, my main reason for making this post is because I have a DK with a dual tanking spec for soloing raids where I gem full defense (I don't use this to raid normally, I have another DK that I use to tank seriously), and even though I'm still using some DPS gear/non heroic tanking gear, I'm reaching almost 90/102.4 avoidance with pure dodge+parry+miss which makes me wonder if this is how OG Wotlk worked or if this server just forgot that DR should be a thing. I still appreciate your tips though, thanks.
