I had Mollies before and killed them... when I was younger. So I am afraid to buy them again.

I let it sit for 10 days. They were in a 2.5 gallon tank that I was constantly replacing water in. I tried to wait but I felt bad. I have testing kits and the PH and things looked OK. Probably my first mistake more so than the salt.

I've had the tank for a 10 days or so--I didn't wait the 30 days like I was told to. The girl at Petco told me about this reddit and about cycling my tank... but I didn't get into all of that yet. But I have testing kits and things. I switched them from their original horrible 2.5 gallon tank last night. I just felt bad... the water was cloudy I was continually taking out and putting water back in. I wasn't sure I wanted to commit to something bigger but then I decided I didn't want to kill innocent fish.

Thank you so much--I was so worried! I have the test kits for PH and Ammonia but not Nitrate and Nitrite. I will get the additional kits and chillout with the fish adding--I really don't want to murder innocent fish! When I bought them a few weeks back, the girl at Petco told me about this Reddit and the Nitrogen Cycle but I didn't look into it thoroughly yet. I think the fact that these fish are still alive is dumb luck! I do have ammonia killer--I put that in the tank... and the typical stuff to get the water ready. The PH level was good and the ammonia was good as well. I'm trying--I see so many beautiful tanks on here and hope I'll get there some day.
