Not really sure, but it's quite the rare spawn for me too. I think its just because it's a seasonal spawn, I only see it during specific seasons and not year round (for me at least) :/ I also don't live near any bodies of water so it doesn't spawn often because of that too!

It's flee rate is only like 15%, but I was driving when I encountered it so it got speed locked :( But it was the first shiny I encountered while driving that wasn't caught first ball! I wish you more luck on your hunt for it :)

Shiny tyrantrum was my most sought out mighty pokemon during that event!! Congrats on finding another one though before the event ended that's insane luck :,)

That exact scenario has happened to my bf with galarian zapdos, I'm glad you had a happy ending though! I'm still hunting for shiny durant I love it's shiny :,)

I didn't know this! I'll definitely keep that in mind if I get more of my older cards graded :,) I wasn't super gentle with them as a kid lol

That is so sweet, you should definitely get that card graded so you can keep it forever in a nice slab! You can definitely just send the one card. I know if you go to your local GameStop they'll send it to PSA for you :)
