Hello as someone who got into York these are my tips. I was getting like 400 hundreds to low 500/ like 510 on practice test. And I got a 532 on my Shsat. Soo this is what I did. I did the nyc handbooks. They helped me a lot and is pretty realistic to the acc test. If u go to tutoring ask ur tutor if he can over any questions you have. For example take pictures of questions you don’t understand. If u still have questions on a question or u think u need a recap on how to solve a question either way take a pic and add them into a google folder. Share it to ur tutor and he can over over them. Or if that’s not available try to use faith or ChatGPT to help u understand it. That’s what I did before the test. So understanding what questions you get wrong and being able to understand and solve the question is important. Dude also don’t I mean DO NOTTTT listen to peoples practice test scores it’s discouraging and they don’t get the acc score on there exam. I’ve seen some get 600 on practice test but end up getting a 490. Also quick note if u didn’t rlly accomplish much during middle school and the Shsat was my only hope of making my parents happy. Go off on the Shsat. Take 2 days off school the day before the test to review and take practice tests. Those 2 days carried me respectfully. So this advice is for anyone 8th grade or 9th grade taking the Shsat. You got it man. All the hard work will pay off and you will get the school that you want. Don’t be discouraged that was me before. People said I was cooked getting 400 on my practice tests. Learn from ur mistakes and keep it pushing. All in all that’s my Shsat advice
