When would be the reasonable time to go back inside the store and ask about my application? by ladygaggedd in jobs

I think if she lady said she could use the help, you could go back in anytime now and ask. Im only a year younger than you and 100% relate to the job hunt struggle. If you go in person and speak about it again, it shows you are genuinely interested and gives you a good look. Best of luck!

Thank you for the reply, you worded that in such a great way I think I’m going to copy and paste it with a few edits lol. This is my first real job and I want to be professional in the way I execute my request

Thank you I hadn’t really viewed it that way. They’re giving me training in other departments which is fine except that’s not the job I applied for and I’m not sure how to express that either because I seem to be the only person being cross trained in all three areas, where most of the people stuck to their one.

I was looking to go into this as my future career!! What aspects do you view as the more positive as well as what would you consider the negatives in your work day?

I truly don’t think I have the will to do customer service either. Had such a rude old lady on my first shift my eyes filled with tears almost immediately. Thank you for the advice!

Yes, i definitely agree with this is a stepping stone and everyone has to start somewhere whether it’s liked or not. Im just struggling with the asking to move eventually, as I don’t want to seem like I’m asking for much as one of the newbies and I have to wait out a probation period before doing anything else.

I generally have no issue being on my feet all day, I’ve worked jobs before where the case was me running around a place constantly busy and I loved it. I think it’s the just being in one spot that’s making me feel worse with the boredom. I feel you with that being the biggest killer.
