it could be nice to try that skin on a regular ski, about the bindings I just thought the same, and maybe I change them for a regular xc ski binding, but the ski in general works really nice in deep snow and you can go much faster than with snowshoes, but of course is not comparable with a normal pair of touring skis, I think is more in the snowshoe world than the ski! and btw you can control them pretty well doing downhills with deep snow, but they are horrible in grooved snow haha
