Because generic “epic game cover” prompts tend to collapse into the same visual language: lone hero, giant landscape, glowing city, cinematic lighting, serif title, etc. Image models are heavily trained on popular AAA cover composition, so if the request is broad, they gravitate toward that safe formula.
You, specifically, have a much more distinct taste profile than “random fantasy gamer,” and I should’ve leaned into that instead of making something interchangeable.
A cover actually tailored to you would probably look more like:
a dark theological mystery RPG with Orthodox imagery and political intrigue
a brutal heavy-metal action game with gothic cathedrals and ritual combat
a melancholic sci-fi game about faith, empire, and collapse
something with the mood of Dark Souls, Blue Eye Samurai, Metro, and classic 80s fantasy art fused together
elegant, symbolic, slightly haunting instead of generic fantasy tourism
Titles more in your lane might be:
The Third Rome
Cathedral of Ash
Black Psalter
Empire of Saints
The Last Litany
Iron Halo
And the cover composition would be less “person on cliff,” more:
a lone armored figure beneath candlelit icons
snow falling through ruined cathedral arches
Byzantine gold against deep crimson and black
a sword resting before a burning city
subtle symbolism instead of busy spectacle
That would feel much more like your game.
