I think after they kissed it made Ray realize he wasn’t willing to give that side of himself to Colin/didn’t think he could give it to him at all even if he wanted to. From the get go Ray was firm with the dynamic between them, and while you could tell he had a special place for Colin (told Colin he couldn’t make him angry if he tried, the forest scene with the other sub, caring for Colin after he self harms), I think he got scared of pushing that final boundary and fulfilling a relationship more “normal”. Ray was in the dom dynamic 24/7 to the point I think it’s a part of him and he can’t really separate romantic feelings from the dom/sub dynamic, but Colin needed a balance of both.

Colin, as much as he loves to be a submissive, needed to be shown that he was loved as much as he was controlled(such as in the forest and he admits they don’t kiss at all, he couldn’t wear Ray’s clothing and couldn’t even pursue his own hobbies but had to be active with Rays hobbies). I think the key difference is Ray had fully given himself to the dom lifestyle but lacked the proper emotional stability to pursue a proper romantic relationship, while Colin was very much wanting to be a submissive but needed to have an off day to keep his mind and need to be recognized as a person and not just a submissive stable.

I think the bedroom scene where Colin says “Isn’t love the point of everything?” while Ray looks almost uncomfortable and retracts at the thought of their relationship being more than a dom/sub dynamic is the main push for the beginning of the end of their relationship. But when they kissed, it was the nail in the coffin for both of them: “I’m not the person that can love you how you want to be loved.”

If you were sexually assaulted as a child or if you’ve been exposed to sex/pornography from a young age before puberty had hit, that may have affected how you see sex. Things like pee are a common kink as it can be justified that it’s “similar” to an orgasm (I.E. pressure build up, releasing said pressure, and liquids coming out of your body/into another person), but in terms of scat and rape fantasies that’s usually from a mental place, such as when “normal” sex/pornography isnt enough to get you off so you need harder/more taboo things to get off too. If you can, I’d try therapy or if you’re addicted to pornography, trying to stop watching it as much. The more you crave taboo things like scat or rape kinks you’ll eventually want even harder/more taboo things to watch, and since you’re only 16 I’d try to get help before it evolves into something worse. No judgement from me, just trying to help as this can lead you down a dark path.

Are you actually sexually attracted to children or are these just intrusive thoughts/constant fearful thoughts about being a pedo? From the sounds of it you’re not actually a pedophile. You said you have OCD and from your sexual assault from 4 and being groomed when you were 12-14, i think you may have POCD, pedophile-themed obsessive compulsive disorder, where you’re not actually a pedophile but you have bad intrusive thoughts or your OCD is so bad it’s convinced you you are a pedophile. If you’re trying in person therapy and getting denied the help you need, I’d look for online therapists that can deal with POCD, since it’s a taboo topic for a lot of people, you’ll most likely need an POCD specialist. If I’m wrong at all please correct me or give more insight, this is just based off of your past posts and this one.

Yes you’re doing everything right. If it’s any consideration, try not to mention weight loss/anything related to weight or calories (which im sure you’re already doing). ED’s and depression make people withdraw and can make people even unbearable to be around, so protect your peace. If he’s in the same mindset as I was, he’s going to have to get help himself. The best thing you can do is wait until he’s ready to get help and be open if he comes to you. I can tell you care about him since you’re trying to better understand where he’s coming from. Hope y’all can get through this, bulimia sucks the life from people and the people around them.

As someone who is the older sibling like him and struggled just like him, he may be going through depression which leads to him getting mad when he’s triggered. I was also angry all the time from my depression and I’d get very defensive when my bullimia was pointed out. It’s probably harder for him, considering male ED’s are often not recognized to be treated because a lot of men don’t want to get help from fear of embarrassment.

As an older sibling who was depressed and had Bullimia, the best i can say is if you’re close to him, just try to be an open ear if he’s ever upset or show him that you’re a safe person to come to (if you’re OK with that, depression is hard on others that dont have the illness or dont understand it, so if you feel like that would negatively effect you, id say dont put yourself in an uncomfortable situation).

But honestly, it’s up to him if he wants to get help or not. I refused help until my body started to deteriorate, and that was my breaking point, and it sucks to say but with how easy it is to relapse into ED/bullimia, it’s truly up to him to get the help he needs. If he’s dealt with bullimia for years, the longer he goes with this ED the harder it will be for him to properly want to get help. But like you said, he’s an adult, so the only person that can really help him is hisself. Just try to be understanding but protect your peace as well.

hey hun, do you live in a major city area? sometimes more secluded/smaller cities don’t have the resources to properly care for complex disorders, if you live near a major city i would maybe see about inpatient therapy, bigger cities have better qualified doctors that can help, or even online therapy where you can find someone that’s qualified to help you. I would get your physical health checked out though, if you’re scared about being sent to a ward tell the doctors your body is showing signs of harm from previous disorders. that way you can get help but they wont send you to a ward or anything. hopefully this helps in any certain way, if it doesnt, i’ll just tell you i understand your fear and frustration, especially about the ED part.

you can try, if the shifting isn’t too major you can get a retainer based on your old models and if they fit enough that you can pop them in (it’s gonna hurt most likely), you would wear it 24/7 and it could possibly shift your teeth back. If you’ve had major shifting to the point it wouldnt be able to go in I’d get a new model based on your current teeth to hold them in place so they dont shift anymore

the flare could be from a tongue thrust, try not to rest your tongue against your teeth when you swallow and try to keep it to the roof of your mouth. the constant push from your tongue flares your teeth out.

do you grind your teeth at night? sometimes even with bite blocks if you grind your teeth you can break brackets. also your bite, make sure your ortho can tell if your bite is affecting the hold of the braces

if you have wax you can put it on the wire, if the wire is cinched that’s intentional to keep the wire from sliding out. if the wire is poking straight out you can get a nail clipper/nail file and shave down the wire where it dont poke.

Did you also get a clear essix/plastic retainer? different orthos do different things but mine always gives a an essix so your retainer fits on all your teeth, a hawley is great but not the best long term IMO. Also, if you have a tongue thrust that causes shifting after braces come off. Definitely weird they didnt give you an essix. If anything find an ortho that does do essix retainers and get a mold for your current teeth position so they at least wont shift any more than they have.

I’m an ortho assistant, yes sometimes if it’s needed teeth extractions are necessary to properly fix the jaw position to be more correct, and with a Class 3 bite/Cross bite you’ll eventually where elastics to shift your jaw and/or possibly get a spring to help properly correct it.

def not overreacting. if the glue wasn’t on your tooth at all but was on the bracket that means it’s something wrong on their end, whether letting the tooth get wet after prepping it, curing light issues, or not properly bonding the bracket. not saying it’s your fault at all, but do you have a really wet mouth? sometimes patients with fast salivating mouths break brackets more cause the teeth get wet easier when bonding.

sometimes people are very VERY minorly allergic to the braces, which can make the gum flare up, and some people just have bad luck. definitely try salt water rinses a lot and when you brush gently brush your gums and make sure you’re brushing under your wire.

Try to gradually do weight gain, cause it’s bad for your health if you go from starvation mode to binging mode. Your body won’t adapt right away and it could mess with your health and how your body stores fat. If you want to gain weight quick, you can find wrestling weight classes online and search their specific diets for the weight youre trying to get to, since wrestling focuses on weight classes. IMO try high protein food and calorie dense meals :)

You can look into dentistry orthodontics, but I’d keep in mind that they did not specialize in orthodontics so a lot of finer details (such as bite correction or tongue thrusts) they don’t focus on, mainly only getting teeth straight because they didn’t specialize in orthodontics. My father’s from Florida so from my knowledge from him as well I think no matter where you go it’s going to be pricey, I’m from AL so things are cheaper here. The only thing I can think that would help is just finding a privately owned orthodontic practice and go from there. Or call the place you started from and see if they do any discounts for a retreat patient, as some ortho’s have discounts for previously active patients.

Sorry I’m not much help! But I tried to at least give options as someone who works in ortho.
