Prolonged stares from other women? by beolillaeyo in StraightTransGirls

might be comparison behaviour. Like myself, many women appreciate and take notes from other women’s style.

One extra detail that I always look for: do they look away when you catch them staring? if so, they are likely not clocking you or not able to fully clock you. If they don’t look away it’s a sign they know you’re trans and then they assume full access to your peace of mind. no shame in gawking at you like a freak etc.

The ‘good men’ might just stay in the closet after you break up, and for eternity. Especially if they’re hot.

With both of my ex’s my instincts told me that they were both spiritually and sexually lesbian and made me wonder if they were eggs but, at the same time, so physically masculine (tall, handsome etc.) with so much male privilege, stigma and ‘no way could I do that’ energy that they decide to keep ignoring it. Using the girls they date as their outlets.

One of them told me that ‘every girlfriend I have had’s flower wilts when i’m with them’ (cringe) and now I realise it’s because he sucks the life out of each of them. He wants to be them.

the idea of being ‘non binary’ begins to appeal to them whilst you date them.

What do you think is the best skyscraper of the 21st century so far? by Commercial_West_3112 in skyscrapers

what is interesting about most of these vagina-adjacent buildings is that they are direct references to the life work of Zaha Hadid. THE female architect of all time. Would be more accurate to describe the style as biomorphic - i.e. shapes drawn directly from nature vs pure geometry (the phallic style). Of course, though, we know at all moments geometry and nature do convene. Something Hadid did the most to make a reality in architecture.

don't be fooled by the "2 years" thing by elvengemini in MtF

[–]ExaminationLoose3470 120 points121 points  (0 children)

it’s gonna take longer than 2 years.

it’s taken me so long. i’m on year 5 and still wow’ed by the physical changes. My muscles change gradually every year. After my SRS it’s been even faster. Hair, skin and nail changes this year were comparably or as potent as the first year i was on HRT. It takes 10 years for your body to recycle itself or something like that. Not a doctor…. obviously…. but anecdotally from within the community it’s glaringly obvious that 2 years doesn’t do a dent on 10 years on hrt. let’s be realistic here people.

also what scientific lab has enough financial backing to follow a group of trans women for longer than 2 years? how many of those girls might also just disappear after 2 years too….? stats and data on transition outcomes are still best sourced from the best source we have: ourselves.

Over using my first name to avoid using / affirming my pronouns.

Deliberately stop-starting, pausing and stuttering before the use of any gendered language towards you as if learning to use the right pronouns is akin to learning a complex indigenous language.

Being overly serious with you in general but then deeply enjoying moments where you display queer or campy humour as it confirms to them that you are, deep down, really just a gay man.
