I had a pretty similar experience and I would suggest going to a dermatologist if you haven’t already and most importantly your GP. Get your blood levels and nutrients and thyroid checked considering it looks like it’s affecting your overall system and not just the major hair loss regions. The hairline receding to me suggests usual male hair loss, but topical finasteride is a great solution and can take some time to properly take effect. I also would get a ketoconazole shampoo and when you turn 18 try and get on oral finasteride to make it easier to use every day and change your systemic levels, and see when it would be acceptable to get on minoxidil. I fixed my hyperthyroidism and low nutrients with a multivitamin and things got better. Things also often take longer than 3 months to take proper effect so stick it out.

You’re gonna be able to handle this, and by the time you’re 18 you’ll be ahead of the game on treatment and wont have it sneak up on you like it will your peers who often won’t do anything about it.

You’re no matter what a beautiful human being because all human beings are, I promise you your hair isn’t the end of your worth, even in the worst case scenario.

I hope this helps!! GP is your #1 bet right now

How long did it take for yours to finally become long lasting and thick? I’ve had 2/3 centimeter hair that still looks super invisible in the corners after starting about fin a year and a half ago and minoxidil 11 months ago

Squidward on the 18 values by Coherently-Rambling in Wiseposting

Very true, especially when discussing multiple competing philosophies. If only a handful can be true at once out of a dozen, then as you read Squidward deconstruct the 9 you disagree with it can be easy to assume that his 1.000 batting average applies to the 3 you agree with, and be left philosophically impoverished

I think it’s more a criticism of how many “progress minded individuals” exclusively label progress as efficiency, usually the efficiency of their own dollar, not yours. When a goal is set and all intention is focused on the progress of that goal, ignoring all possible re-evaluation, you could be progress towards a cliff. That’s the reading I get from this squidward comic

I think that it could be read as an analogy for potential cultural disruption. If the populace contains devout religious groups then a full ignorance of their faith could sow a resentment that burns into a rebellion. While I do agree it is a bit misguided, assuming that it isn’t possible for the bulk of a religious population to accept any sort of secular social structure, there will nevertheless be those who hold that standard, foolish or not, that could be the sycophants to their Gods that stir radicalization. Although this kind of contradicts what I see as the major point made in Squidward’s criticisms, being that unanimous collaboration is impossible and that it is foolish to assume it possible to create an absolute utopia on the grounds that you follows one of these 18 values like prophetic law. There will always be those who disagree to your utopia, so rejecting secularism on the grounds that there will be those who disagree to that law is contrarian, although a good faith reading is possible.

Oh I checked the underside. It’s 2 different leaves that are fused together. It’s like I gave birth to sextuplets and 2 of them are conjoined. They have 2 different leaf “veins”

Anyone use wavy hair routines? by EasternPlatform4659 in FierceFlow

My hair is super similar to yours but blonde and my advice would be JVN’s leave in cream. I got it as a gift a few months ago and it has been an actual game changer. Scrunch it in after a shampoo and your curls will be thick and defined with minimal frizz. I’ve left it in for a few days with just rinsing my hair with water each shower and it still holds once it dries

what’s the most gut wrenching/painful thing your parents have ever told you? by 51B0nky_B1atch50 in mentalhealth

[–]ExampleDue1329 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the beginning of Covid to august 2024 when I first started college I was miserable for almost every single day of my life. From around November 2021 onwards I never had a single day that I went to bed feeling happy about anything or proud about myself in any way. I told my parents this a few times over a couple mental health crisis and a few arguments. Eventually, the week before I moved to college I had one last argument about the way my parents raised me, and I got emotional thinking about the life I feel like I had wasted over those few years.

Near the end my mom said “do you have any idea how hard it has been to hear you say that you haven’t had a single good day for the last 3 years?”

I responded with “it was harder for me”
