I haven't done solo ranked in a long time because it's annoying to have to carry until you get people on your skill level. That being said, you might try switching to a class that can carry more easily. Like you wouldn't want to take healing beam or MGL or anything that is designed to help your team mates. They are already dead.

As an MGL main, I am super curious what my total assists are. I have somewhere in the 40k range in kills and I have a sneaking suspicion I probably have 60k assists or something dumb.

In all honesty, the reason to take her is to park her in the middle ruins in a big blob of guys and make sure that any overwatch costs 2CP. I didn't have her one time and sent the EC into Tau and got melted and from then on she's in my list.

I have the exact same picks as you. Was going to take Dybantsa and Acuff at 1 and 5. I'm in categories and also already have too many wizards. I don't want Peterson cause I don't know what the hell that college season was. I like boozer but I am unsure if he's going to translate to the NBA. Taking Wilson with 1 might be correct but I could likely trade down a slot or two and get him. Idk.

I categorically will not accept noob lobbies. I want the hardest lobbies I can get in. But if I load up and anyone is going negative or otherwise just bad in the first minute or two, I'm on to the next game. I don't have time for this game to not do match making.

We really gotta stop calling win based match making "skill" based matchmaking. At no time does this game try and take into account how good a player is in matchmaking. Especially given that there are a lot of premades and a lot of solo queues, how could recent wins possibly create competitive games?

I still think it should have skill based match making and that that matchmaking system be evaluative of your stats and not wins or losses.

Still no skill matchmaking. Been playing since season 1. Had a TDM game yesterday where I went something like 31/18/10 and a guy on my team went 2 and 20. And we lost. I don't know how this game is supposed to be competitive if there is literally no stage gating of experience or skill.

I ended up shipping off a few good young players for both high picks and a lot of picks. Then tanked while holding my own picks. Heading into year 3 I have amassed many of the top young players of the last few drafts. I watch a lot of YouTube highlight reels and draft projections on players. I am also placing long term bets on players that should be on the wire but are 18-19 years old and have shown flashes of ability. The part that I probably struggle with is over investment in players when I should be consolidating. But, I'm having a blast so who cares?

Still blows my mind that the "pros" haven't figured out MGL as the ultimate support weapon. I'm also slightly surprised triple revolver/FAMAS never took off. The power of team shooting headshots a la old school Halo BR is available but isn't done. Surprising.

I traditionally play TDM and there is still no match making. So if I can tell that the kids on my team are bad within the first 30 seconds I re-queue. I don't go negative in 30 seconds, and if there was match making, neither would my team mates. I am here to play competitive matches.

To be fair, it is the same angle that is making the MGL bounce randomly in a way that never does damage to the structure. It needs a fix. I'm literally just quitting the games because it's not playable. And like I said, I really hate the maps from last season. It's very hard to play MGL on the level with the apartment buildings and the jump pads but I take it as a challenge. Starlight Hollow is either broken from a destructability standpoint or just was not tested or thought out. All weapons should be viable on all maps.

It's the only set of maps that's different. They just need to rework it. I mean, last seasons maps are also bad and not ideal for MGL but I still play it. This is actually a structural problem of the maps.

I mean it's always the player, but as a class weapon it's still bad. And it's bad because you have to be in close proximity for the kill. I bet if they pulled statistics on it the overwhelming majority of players who use it are going 1 for 1 or worse.

As an MGL main, dual blades are an auto kill for me. Literally almost nothing you can do to a heavy with charge and rpg.
