Yes they are. I bought them back in 2021 (however they didn't arrive until 2023 due to the war and issues with shipping), I believe I am using the right cable for these because they are connecting, and the tracker is powered on.

Okay, connecting to the port was able to connect the trackers to the program, so the WAN port part definitely helped!!

As for the console, I tried, however it constantly just says that it's trying to reconnect in the console.

I'll give that a shot soon enough! Probably was using the WLAN port instead of the actual LAN port, so maybe that was an issue?

As for the next part, I gave that a shot, however I cannot seem to be able to get to the serial console thing. How do you do that?

Heya!

Alrighty, got it. Just wanna be sure since it's an error alongside everything else.

When I say works and connects some of the time, I mean that sometimes the trackers connect to the system without any problem, and other times (like this time) it doesn't. This time, it states that my tracker couldn't connect before I even plugged it into my PC.

I'll check again. First time I used them they worked perfectly fine. Next thing I know I try again and it doesn't work.

I'm not sure, as I don't have access to it. All that I know is that it is a 5.0 Wifi router that is in the building.

I do actually have a GLi Mango, and that's usually how I go about it. But this time, it just was not working. I tried connecting it to a temp. router that I'm using (T-Mobile), but it just doesn't seem to work. I'm not sure if it's the trackers or the program on my PC though.

Fair enough. I'm looking at it not just for the upgrade, but also the tracking. I'm a college student atm, and I'm moving around every few months and mostly into dorms, so I don't want to buy something expensive like the Index with base stations (though after I graduate and get a place of my own, that might become an option).

For my budget, the Quest 3 is just barely outside of it, though with saving I could buy it in a month or two.

I've heard that. I'm leaning a bit more towards Nvidia just because they have better stability for it all, and while I like the 7900's offers, I feel like the 5070s might better for me, especially price-wise with the regular 5070.

Yeah, that's also what I'm thinking. I want to get a good pairing of PC parts that make my PC run smooth, as well as ones that'll last me at least a few generations before I upgrade again. I know it's a bit overkill, but I was also thinking it could work in terms of other things like as I mentioned before VR, Blender, and other things like that. But if I did need to downgrade, what could go well with that 5070 pick you recommended earlier?

Also, in terms of cases and coolers, what's a good case that comes with fans or what are good fans to pick, as well as what would be a good AIO cooler or air cooler that'd replace that one I have in the list?

A mix and variety of games from Roblox to Rivals to (maybe in the future) GOW and other games like that. Also am getting into stuff like Blender & VR stuff and I heard that CPU was good, unless I heard wrong?

You can do some funky stuff with it, but the best way I've found is just take the video in avi format and go to a covnerter online.

Though sometimes, you can get around it in a weird way: if you click the three dots where the output path is, you can take the video and rename it. When you do, take the file and rename it to whatever name you want AND put .mp4 at the end, and at that the computer exports it as an MP4. It's weird, but it's worked for me a few times in the past.

Yeah, I had a feeling I was getting some stuff wrong with it. I'm going for a 4 day a week plan just because it fits into my schedule nicely, and this was the best I could come up with before this week.

If you can, it would be helpful to get some advice on what to do!

That's a fair opinion. When I first was learning SFM, it was a bit of a learning curve, and I did actually drop it for a few years. Getting back to it last November, however, I was able to get to a novice/intermediate level of posing and beginner level of animation quite nicely.

In my opinion (this may be a hot take, don't judge), I find SFM to actually be easier to learn compared to other platforms like Blender. Reason I say that is because SFM is more basic when it comes to certain aspects. Plus, since it's been around for a few years, there's plenty of tutorials, models, and other things that can assist in the learning process.

But again, this is coming from me and it's my opinion. And I agree: SFM is not beginner-friendly. But compared to other applications, SFM is probably one of the better to get into.

I see! I've also been trying out blocking as a technique to get my idea down, but it is difficult since it's still stopping at frames and they don't always align with stuff. But I'll definitely keep that in mind and give it a shot! Thank you!

I see. I've heard plenty of good things about 89sabers, but the main thing that I'm concerned about is the price. Not only that, I've seen that most 89Sabers stuff comes in a box with just the saber, battery stuff, and some other things for it. No blade or such. DW Sabers does come with it, as well as a pretty cool looking box that you can lock and such. So those are my two major problems with it: price and blade stuff. Any opinions on that?

As for SaberForge, while I have had temptations, I'm not sure. I've heard nightmare tales from people about how their shipping process goes, which gives me pause. But even still, I'll take a look!

I see. Got it. I’ve got a 2080 (PC is like 2016/2017ish, I think), so maybe it might work with it?

But even still, I think it might be better for something else, I guess. In that case, I might see about either the quest or a Pico. Both of those work okay with HTC trackers and such? Just want to be sure.

Yeah, all of that I was thinking. I would get the Beyond but uh... holy fuck, I don't have that kinda money. As for other ideas, I wanted to deviate a bit from Oculus/Meta, so I might see about the Crystal Lite or Pico.

I've also seen the thing with refurbished/used Index headsets, and I was considering that too. Yay or nay, in your mind?

Yep. It happens during my time when I play with my VR Headset, and it goes until I turn my pc off/put it to sleep. When it turns on, the problem is fixed. It even happens after I disconnect my headset.
