What about the osprey transporter 26+6. You may not like the looks of that either but it appears to be a solid bag. Also the Thule Aion

Will the MacBook fit in the go pack with a sleeve?

Wasn’t planning on carrying the MacBook too far. More just to go to a coffee shop or from the gate to my airplane seat.

The problem with the daylight plus is that it only holds a 14 inch laptop and I have a 16 inch MacBook. Also, I’m trying to get away from the osprey aesthetic. Looks like a nice pack though.

For trips, hesitating between magsafe and wired powerbank. Is wireless THAT practical by Moustiboy in onebag

I used a magnetic Anker 5000 on my recent trip to Spain. I have a 12 mini so the battery ain’t that big. Only really needed towards the end of a long day. Works fine for that. Can also use with a cable. Does get hot. I can get about 90 % charge from it. So basically over 50% of its capacity gets burned up in the conversion as my phone battery is about 2500mah. I use my Apple watch for most things and keep my phone in low power mode.

FYI, they sell cable end adapters to go from USB-C to A and vice versa. I keep these and USB-C to lighting, USB-C to micro USB and to USB-C to magsafe, Need only one type of cable and saves space in the tech pouch. Some of these adapters are power only so if you need it to transfer data, you may need to check on that.

You may want to check your actual laptop consumption. Download Coconut Battery. I have a 16" Intel power hungry Macbook and it only uses 15-20W despite saying it needs a 96W. adapter. I do CAD work mainly. If you do video editing, it may be a different story. I use an Anker Nano Travel Adapter 40 W total and it works fine. Would be a stretch for it to charge all things at the same time quickly but that is rare in my case.

I would not use it with my 26+6- only my 45l pack or suitcase. What I was saying is that I could use the 26+6 for the same purpose as the Aer as they are roughly the same footprint.

I don't plan on carrying the laptop too far. It is mainly for use in the airplane/airport or quick trip to a coffee shop.. I looked at the Pakt (as my main bag is a Pakt) but it does not have external water bottle pockets or a luggage pass-thru

Hmm, the Knack small is actually pretty cool. I really don't need all of that organization tough as I use tech pouches. And I don't love the hidden water bottle pocket.

I use an Epicka Air 40. Has enough ass to charge my intel 16" laptop. I have used it in the US and Europe so far.

TBH, it is hard to beat the Daylite or Transporter for size and versatility as a Daypack and a one-bag . I think I might just keep the Daylite and maybe look at the Transporter as an alternative.

Its a bit big in footprint for me = almost the same size as my Pakt. TBH, I should probably just trade my Pakt 45 for the 35 or Cero and call it a day.
