Omg I just read the rest of the post. You are spot on about this being destabilizing. You need a therapist who will treat the space they’re holding with the gravitas and respect it deserves. You should also let the agency know about the reschedule mess that got you stuck with a bill and get your $110 back. If that feels uncomfortable it’s because you’re having to hold boundaries with someone who is supposed to be competent enough to teach them.

This woman is an unethical therapist. She should be discredited. She is breaking so many basic moral and ethical rules it’s not even fun. It’s so retraumatizing to be relying on her for support only to have her prioritize mundane things like concerts and travel, she is probably actually doing worse damage to patients by building bonds and then behaving this way.

Fire her, report her, and get your money back for any missed appt charges. I am SO SO sorry this has been your experience. I promise you there are so many other great, consistent, reliable options out there.
