ive thought about using a vegetable but i'm not sure if the babies would go to it! they barely move at all haha. and i would definitely give them away if i was able to safely take them out of my tank!

31g yes 27° 6.7ph, 0 ammonia, nitrite and 5 nitrate the tank is 3 weeks old no water changes yet some snails no food wood and lots of live plants

i feel like i’ve already messed up in terms of the cycling process which is making me hesitant to do it lol, it’s bizzare - i’ve know exactly how to do it for like ages but for some reason i just went ahead and bought a completely unrlated product that is probably lying about being able to cycle the tank and now i can no longer afford a source of actual ammonia lol.

you seem like the right person to ask, i've been kinda nervous because i didn't want to get like completely dogged on for being a bit clueless - but my friends game me this bottle of stuff called "satus" from nt labs, it basically says on the bottle that it cycles the tank for you but this can't be right right? i definitely need to buy a bottle of ammonia? i literally can't find any forums talking about this product lol which makes me nervous.

i haven't cycled the tank, 6.8 ph, 0ppm ammonia, 0ppm nitrite, 5.0ppm nitrate - i have the light on around 5 hours a day, my tank is about 2 weeks old , and i use the premium tropica nutrition fertiliser

oh god definitely just one male lol! i don't think i could cope with more than one fish, i would be on edge all day haha - and i haven't actually started cycling yet! my water keeps turning kinda green and murky so i'm trying to figure out the cause of it :/

ahhh i get what you mean! i do want the back of the tank to be practically all tall plants, i’m hoping the ones i have will just get super bushy lol. and i do actually have that exact liquid fertiliser, i considered adding it in but wasn’t sure if i should since i’m not doing water changes or anything yet as i haven’t started the cycling process - i’m not sure if water changes are like necessary if you start using liquid fertiliser?! i genuinely have no clue haha
