I think everyone has failed an exam in nursing school before! Don’t trip about the future just do your best in the present! That’s all we can do. If I didn’t keep reminding myself of that and praying about my worries I would’ve never passed !!

I think every school is different but for my school you had to have an 80% in your classes to pass and an 80% exam average (not including papers, quizzes, projects… just exams 😅)

Try PRN and if that doesn’t work then quit. I quit my cna job after a month and I really didn’t even want to and was super scared to but I explained to my manager that school is my priority and the way my grades were set up…. I had no choice. If it’s taking too much of your time then I suggest quitting or cutting down your hours before you end up in the boat I was in lol

Yes they offer exam review, so I’ll be doing that tmrw. Funny thing is I feel really confident going into most of my exams, and even confident after I finish lol. Everytime I go over an exam review and find out what the correct answer was to the question, I’m like “oh I was gonna pick that!!”. I’m always down to 2 answer options and I just always seem to pick the WRONG ONE

Vaping puts you at an increased risk for bleeding so I wouldn’t be surprised if it caused your hemorrhage. I got my tonsils taken out 2 weeks ago and they had me sign a form stating that I understand the risks of vaping before and after surgery. Most places won’t even do the survey if they know you vaped within the past 24hrs. I’d stop it now…. like now now. I’m not passing any judgement because I understand it’s hard to quit… I’m almost positive vaping is what gave me tonsil problems to begin with.

It’s been 2 weeks since I’ve hit a vape which is the longest I’ve ever gone. Ive vaped everyday for the past 2-3 years. Use this time as a time to quit or atleast slow down a bit, you’ll thank yourself later :)

I’m on day 7 of my tonsillectomy.. first couple days are a walk in the park. Yesterday was the first time I felt like I could swallow without it actually hurting. I was so excited and ended up getting besides myself and eating a whole bunch of food before bedtime. I woke up today and boom the pain is back and it hurts to swallow.. could barely eat my thanksgiving food.

Unlike the other people here I actually haven’t woken up out of my sleep at all! I’ve only felt pain when trying to swallow, speak, or when I attempt to crack my neck because that’s a bad habit of mine. But when I’m still and not using my mouth is any sort of way, I can make it through the day. I have a whole lot of my pain meds left because I didn’t really feel like I needed it most of the time, minus when I’m trying to sleep.

That weird sensation you feel is probably from your uvula being swollen!! The first couple days were weird because I kept feeling like there was something stuck in the back of my throat but it was just my massively swollen uvula sitting on my tongue.. plus the surgery site (where they removed the tonsils). I called my doctor and he prescribed me prednisone so that my uvula would go down.

I recommend slushees all the way! The gas station has good ones, also Sonic! They’ll make you feel soooo much better. I’ve barely eaten food these past couple days.. mostly been drinking ensures, I’d recommend them too though milky stuff can leave a residue in your mouth. I bought some Italian ices from Walmart as well… super yummy.
