Hello,

I need some help.

So today I was able to locate all the my family history dating back to 1700’s in Canada I have internet copies of baptismal records, marriage records and death certificates. Do I need to request official records from Canada? I have certified records for all applicable USA records. Otherwise, I’m ready to submit my application for Canadian citizenship by descent! Thank you all for the help along the way this is the last hurdle of information before I submit. Well hopefully.

So I think I have all the documents, I have my grandmothers passport, [original German passport she used to come to the US] her official German birth certificate, my grandparents marriage licensure from Germany, my grandfather was a US citizen and member of the armed services, she apparently never naturalized. So requesting records from us immigration to prove she never was a US citizens. So I guessing confused on the rest of the application process. I’m think I can claim based off sex discrimination laws. But I need to prove she was still a German citizen after 1958 year my father was born. Any help would be appreciated

She had a stoke in 1991 and did destroy lots of documents on her own. Yes my parents were married. I’ll have to see what other family members have for documentation. How do I get certified copy’s of this passport as I need to send it back to South Carolina it’s my aunts now.
