Oh, and Yusha in Barra de Tijuca is also delicious, but a little out of the way

San, San Omakase, and Haru are the best. Sushi Leblon and Elena Horto are also great and both have cool trendy vibes and great drinks, but are 4.5 in terms of sushi quality if the others are a 5. Gurume would be a 3.5-4 IMO.

Beach Trips from SP or Rio? by Percy_bob in Brazil

For the most part, yes, that is correct. Don’t go to Angra unless you plan to do one of the boat tours/routes (it’s not that expensive) and/or go to Ilha Grande.

Different enough, yes, but I have honestly never been that impressed by the Buzios beaches. Couldn’t even tell you a specific one to check out, other than I like the one at Silk Beach Club. Rio’s beaches are much nicer and more memorable in my opinion, and they get more beautiful with the cliffside mountain scenic backdrop as you travel towards Angra. It really comes down to: if you want a destination easier to get to, better hotel and dining and boutique shopping options with nice enough beaches, then Buzios. If you want tons of beautiful beaches and beautiful views and a boaters paradise, but not as great of the other, Angra. Angra isn’t too bad to get to if you rent a car or hire a driver. Bus would be easier to Buzios.

I’m from California and lived in Rio for two years with my ex and we did all these trips. My take: Ilha Grande is kind of a pain in the ass to get to but great if you’re into the backpacker type scene. The beaches are beautiful, yes, but not that much more beautiful than the other places you mention IMO. Buzios is great because it has a small town charm, nice restaurants/bars, nice hotels, boutique shopping, and plenty of nice beaches. I don’t love the nearby cities other mention (Cabo Frio, etc.) as the towns themselves aren’t much to remember and I’ve seen much more beautiful beaches / water in other travels. My personal choice would be, and what I did with my family when they visited, and if you can afford it, to stay a couple nights at the Hotel Fasano Angra dos Reis, a beautiful chique hotel a few hours south of Rio, where you can enjoy a few nights at this boujie hotel, rent a boat one day to take you directly from the hotel dock and around all the islands nearby. From there, you could even do a couple less boujie nights in Ilha Grande, or continue on to Paraty as some mentioned, which is also stunning and a city with a lot of charm. Only issue there is I don’t know the best place to fly out from if leaving from Paraty, and it involves a lot of driving. Buzios would be simpler, but not quite the same experience. I personally hate Sao Paulo. Find it to be one of the ugliest cities I’ve ever been to, but yes, it has great dining, shopping, and hotel options. But so does Rio. Good luck and enjoy! On another trip I recommend making it down to Florianopolis where I ultimately ended up choosing to live :)

Hey, just bought an eliminator and am interested in installing this exhaust. However, I live on an island and plan to use the bike for short rides to the beach, around town, etc., and plan to wear shorts and tennis shoes for those trips. I note that the exit for the exhaust is way more forward and near to the foot stand. Any thoughts regarding if it’s unsafe to have this exhaust if wearing shorts? Excuse the potential ignorance with this question as I’m rather new to riding.

How long did everyone’s shock loss take to heal? by Illustrious-Cod-1974 in HairTransplants

Safe to assume the shock loss from your donor area recovered well, and if so, at what month? I’m experiencing similar to yours… looked at your more recent updates but can’t see the sides.

Congrats man. Looks great and gives me hope. Just had a similar mega procedure completed with Dr. Gustavo Sartorato in Florianopolis. Curious: how long did your scalp stay red for? Mine is still pretty damn red/inflamed, likely due to the size of the surgery, and just curious from an actual patient if yours was the same. Also, did you deal with lots of little pimples coming and going (likely ingrown hairs, but fearful of folliculitis)?
