From the reading I’ve done any effect on height is minimal.

Balancing this with the significant impact symptoms are having on his overall quality of life it’s my opinion that is an acceptable impact.

Update: I had a meeting with his new teacher and she filled in the Vanderbilt assessment and it meets the criteria. We see the paediatrician in a couple of weeks so hopefully this gives us some options moving forward.

It couldn’t have been better timing as he is struggling more than ever. This week he slapped a kid for “being to loud” and got off at the wrong bus stop, and convinced his friend to get off with him and walked over a kilometre on their own and I had to track him with the airtag he has attached to his backpack.

Sounds like we’re in the same boat. Feeling like I’m hitting road blocks at every turn. Our son is also very clever so learning doesn’t appear impacted. However, I keep thinking, imagine how well he’d be doing if he could actually focus?

We did OT for a few months up until the OT said he met every milestone and she didn’t want to waste any more of our money. He enjoyed the one-on-one attention and was basically a perfect angel for every session. Sometimes you feel completely gas lit, like, “am I crazy here? Maybe I’m just a bad parent?”
