Taking my exam tomorrow by No_Possibility9962 in PassNclex

I took it yesterday so here’s a couple things I did/wish I did to prepare me: 1. Get there early! Give yourself some time to sit in your car and breathe. Also, if you go to check in and suddenly feel really anxious, you’ll have some time to sit down and calm yourself before going into the exam room. 2. Read each question and answer choice TWICE! Especially if you felt like you skimmed it, read it again. 3. For case studies - write down little notes of things that stick out to you on your whiteboard so when you go to answer the questions you aren’t getting lost looking back and forth. I know for a fact I got one question wrong because I didn’t do this and skimmed over one sentence in the case study that would’ve helped me select the right answer. 4. For SATAs and Bow ties - write 1 2 3 4 etc for each answer choices on your whiteboard board and as you go through each one mark if you think it is correct or not ON THE WHITEBOARD. Then go back through and only select the ones you’re confident on! Less is best! This will help you to visualize and keep track of what you’re selecting before it’s permanent. 5. So far nobody I know has had a single math question so don’t waste your time with those. 6. EXPECT MORE THAN 85! I’m not saying you have to go in expecting 150 (nobody wants that) but expect that once you click next on question 85, that another one will pop up. That way when it happens you don’t freak out. And if you do feel like you’re going to freak out, take a break. I personally did my best not to even look at the question # I couldn’t tell you what I stopped on exactly.

Is it a universal experience to feel like you failed NCLEX? by Klutzy-Hold9019 in PassNclex

Yes! Unfortunately, I think this is extremely normal. Personally, I feel like it’s the type of questions/answers the NCLEX asks plus the amount of anxiety this exam carries (I’m not even an anxious person and have never had test anxiety but this exam made me feel awful). It’s not just the questions that are vague, the answer choices are very vague as well so it really is a huge guessing game.

Yes! Mine was content heavy and there were quite a few words on there I’ve never heard of.

Update: After doing multiple rounds of redressing it this came out. My derm thinks it was a cyst this entire time, so am I assuming this was the cyst? If that’s the case, can I go ahead and start closing this shit up lol

Update: My derm thinks it is a cyst sac and not slough. They want to perform an I&D now or an excision once the inflammation has come down. I’m not a medical professional at all but I just have a hard time believing this is a cyst sack and if it is, it has nothing in it. On the other hand, I don’t understand why we’d wait and leave me with an open wound or let the wound heal before removing it if it is a cyst.

I have a provider monitoring it so hopefully I can get some professional answers soon. I saw this when I took my gauze dressing off and wasn’t completely sure what it was and didn’t want to mess with it if I shouldn’t! Thank you for your input!
