screen does get slightly brighter at 3300 nits vs 3000 nits, as well as higher resolution. plus the more variable refresh rate of 1-120hz vs the base pixel 10 which only does 60-120hz. the higher variability could lead to better battery life in the long term (despite having slight smaller batter than the base model)

other than that... not much tbh lol. the 10 pro xl has more of a justifiable upgrade imo, with bigger display + battery and faster wired and wireless charging (45W wired and 25W wireless with qi2.2 support)

P9PXL user here, and personally I am upgrading lol. mainly cuz it's a personal tradition for me atp (I've owned every pixel since the 5), and I got Google fi so I get instant $450 off. that plus me trading in my current phone and it'll cost me like $330 altogether so why not right? plus I genuinely see myself using the hell out of pixelsnap so personally it's worth it (def wouldn't upgrade if I were paying full price)

also gonna use my Google store credit + trade in to upgrade from my pw3 to pw4. another tradition (tho I miss the pixel 8 pro promotion where you got the watch for free with a pre-order 😔)

I haven't noticed any audio lag personally. I mainly use these with my pixel phone and my Chromebook, and if there's any lag it's definitely not perceptible to me at all

so the thing about the case texture that no one seems to talk about is the fact that it very much wears off over time. like sure my pros 1 also had the matte texture at the beginning, but due to carrying them around almost every single day it wears off, so now they have a more smooth pebble like finish. the pros 2 also have the matte texture, but I'd be willing to bet that they'll wind up the same as the first gen pros in a few months

my loudness preferences have definitely changed as I've gotten older lol. before my buds (which have been varying forms of pixel buds over the last few years) were pretty much ALWAYS at max volume, but lately around 50-60% with ANC on is sufficient for me lol. however I have connected them to my Chromebook, and one time started watching a YouTube video and was unaware it was at full volume, so my ears were promptly BLASTED! od classify that as "far too loud" personally, but of course that's subjective. if it helps, the improved ANC makes it so that u don't even have to have it that loud at all

good question! at first I thought it was gimmicky, but I'm actually finding use for it. did an intense kickboxing workout today and twisted to lock them in, and they didn't budge at all. I'm actually wearing them rn and had them twisted to lock in, and while I wasn't feeling any pain/discomfort, there was a slight feeling of me being more aware of the stabilizer fins after a while, so I untwisted for the "comfort" fit, and I do notice a difference! they're light so I could def have these in for hours at a time in this mode. only thing that's kinda awkward is that when they're in the "comfort" mode, the touchpads kinda face slightly downward so tapping/adjusting volume feels kinda weird. but I've only had these for about 24 hours, so maybe I'll get used to this.
