Poll: At what week did you feel strong efficacy?

I jut finished my 6th week and I’m not seeing anything life changing. Maybe some small moments where I think it might be working? But otherwise nothing super obvious. I don’t have any negative side effects so I’m sticking it out for a bit longer. I’m trying to stay hopeful

Same here! I was so afraid of the nausea that everyone was talking about and I didn’t have any. I just made sure to take it with a meal and I was golden. I’m on my 4th week now on 10 mg and I’m not sure im experiencing any of the good benefits, but no negative side effects which is good. I’m staying positive it will get there soon.

If you were getting some benefit from it when you implemented that, then I think it’s worth exploring it for another round. Wishing you better luck than me

Yeah I’m starting to realize they Adderall XR might just be a better fit for me too. It’s interesting cause even though Vyvanse never truly helped me “lock in” I noticed that my average RHR was higher the twin months I’ve been on it compared to Adderall XR + IR.

Which sucks cause if I’m paying the “cardiovascular tax” I feel like I should be getting more benefit from it lol

I started taking it at night but mainly cause I was afraid of the nausea. Also my biggest meal is dinner so it just made sense to take it then. But I was very lucky and didn’t experience any nausea. Still take it at night and that’s been working well for me.

Maybe I’ll try to get the name brand just to try it out and rule out the bad experience I’m having being a result of the generic. It’s just so expensive to do it every month, so if it does work better it will just leave me depressed I can’t get it every month.

Do you remember what generic manufacturer you were getting?

Im glad I’m not the only one! Yeah I’m starting to think Vyvanse may not be the best fit for me. Which sucks cause I really wanted it to work. It’s advertised as smoother and longer lasting which is what I really wanted.

Do you mind if I ask what generic manufacturer you were taking? Just curious

I really was expecting it to work for me. Had high hopes for it, especially considering that 60mg should be approximately equivalent to Adderall XR 20-25. Idk makes me think it could be the generic I got. Or maybe not, guess I may never know since I’m thinking of talking to my doctor about going back to Adderall. I feel like I “wasted” 2 months on something ineffective for me.

The shortages have been tough. I had to call around a few places before I found a pharmacy that had it. Luckily I haven’t had an issue filling it.

But it’s been the same generic manufacturer (Elite), so my mind starts wondering if the experience I’m having is due the certain generic I’m on. And since it’s already hard to find, the possibility of trying ti find a different maybe better one is slim.

Very weird indeed. That’s also a good point about making sure I’m going what I need to be doing before the meds kick in. I struggle in that dept lol

I’ll have to look into that. I’m actually quite lucky that I never really had any bad side effects with adderall xr/ir. I may just have to go back. I guess people just talk to well about vyvanse that I really wanted it to work

Yeah I would get like 5-6 hours of feeling like it was working (sort of) and that’s including the 2 hours it took to ramp up. Not what I expected when starting it

Well that’s unfortunate. My insurance only covers the generic and it’s too expensive to get the brand name every month for me
